The first day of every month is considered to be the Hive Power Up Day. There is nothing official on this but this is the day when people power up some hive to show their support. I have been doing this for the past year. In recent months, I have reduced the amount of Hive that I have been powering up. Otherwise, I'm all engaged to participate in Hive power-up day by staking a small amount of Hive every month.
I have to say that this month staking 100 Hive itself is a huge this because the price of Hive has drastically increased in the past few months. Especially last month was very great for hive price because it hit its all-time high. Last month when I wrote the HPUD post, the price of Hive was half the price of Hive right now.
In the pump a few days back, my account value touched 20k USD in total. The party is still not over yet. There is a high possibility that the hive would soon go beyond 1$ again and stay strong there. A new base price will be created for Hive and it will be long-lasting. This is not only the wish of many people but it is also something that can easily happen. The price pump we had in the last month is a good sign for that.
Yesterday there was also a sudden pump in the price of HBD. I had a feeling that it will not last long, so, I went and sold all the HBD in the internal market to purchase Hive with that. The price of HBD is still over 2.5$ right now. If it goes back to the 1$ mark again, it will be profitable. If it goes higher, I would be happy to have bought Hive at the price of 0.353 $ per Hive with all the HBD I have and I think that is also a decent investment to do.
The above stats looks very promising compared to the last month. Though the price of Hive is one contributing factor. I'm very glad that the progress was very good. One sad thing about this pump is that we will all be getting lesser Hive from the rewards as the price goes up. But in terms of value, it will all look very good. But that's something that we cannot do much about. Till last month, I used to get a minimum of 500 Hive every month from the rewards. After the increase in price, the overall USD value is looking good but I could receive only 300+ Hive this month. I think as long as the USD value is looking good, I think it should be okay.
The account has also seen considerable growth in the last 30 days. If this continues, I might be able to see a minimum of 100 $ per month from just curation alone.
The above was my wish in the previous post and I think I have already achieved that. The price of Hive has given me more than 100$ in curation reward already which is great.
My overall rank based on the vesting shares has also improved this month again. Last month my rank was 690 and this month I'm at 669 which is good. I know that it is not going to be easy going forward to move up in the rank. The competition will be very high and many people will have HP close to me. I already see some familiar names @ph1102, @ecoinstats, etc in the list. I don't know if I will be able to surpass them in the next month. But I will remember to check if I did in the next month. They are also determined in terms of the growth of Hive power. So, it can be a hard task to surpass them but I'm happy to travel up the ladder along with them.
That's it for this month. I'm planning to set some short-term goals and work towards achieving them. I hope that will also be a good motivation.
