As a cryptocurrency enthusiast, it's natural to hope for the best and expect a bull market to occur, with prices rising and crypto assets appreciating in value. However, for me, as I am looking to accumulate more cryptocurrencies (and here I am referring to Hive in special, which I think is so much underrated), the bear markets can be a blessing in disguise.
In a bear market, prices tend to be lower, allowing investors to accumulate more crypto assets at a lower cost. This can be especially beneficial for those who are just starting to invest in cryptocurrencies and want to build a solid foundation for their portfolio. For me, this translated into Dollar-Cost-Average DCA which I have performed until these days when the markets improved. Probably I can push the DCA further and stick with it until higher values, but as the profit decreases I have decided to slow down as well.
Additionally, bear markets can also help to weed out weaker players in the market. Projects and even exchanges that are not well-established or that have poor fundamentals will typically suffer or even go bankrupt more during bear markets, allowing investors to focus on the projects that are most likely to succeed in the long term. Some of my investments almost went to dust, but some others showed promise and fast recovery.
One of the key benefits of a bear market is the opportunity to accumulate more cryptocurrencies at a lower cost or simply earn through different mechanics like staking, delegating, DeFi, and so on. By doing so and focusing on the right assets you will grow your stacks on those that navigated the storm and got alive out of it. And this should be proof that the future will hold good times for such assets.
In conclusion, while a bull market may be more exciting, a bear market can offer a unique opportunity for investors to accumulate more cryptocurrencies. By taking advantage of the discounts that are available during bear markets and accumulation through active participation while there is less competition, investors can build a solid foundation for their portfolio and prepare for future growth. Of course, it's always important to do your own research and invest responsibly, but for those who are looking to accumulate more crypto assets, bear markets can be a valuable tool. This is why I would like for the bull season not to start yet and keep on accumulating more assets. You can call me crazy for that, but that's the truth.
