Hive blockchain is a sea of knowledge and information and day after day we are digesting as much as we can out of it. Why do we do that? Be sure based on our interest we either want to stay up to date with what happens in the space or just because we enjoy reading or watching streams about one subject or the other as we are passionate about it. Also diversity keeps us away from getting bored and starting from here and while I am waiting in the airport for the airplane to land, my mind flies away and wonders: is there any too much posting on the Hive blockchain by a single author?
Decentalization
I remember my first days, weeks or months on the platform when I was joining different communities and trying to get support from them and asked about how many posts per day should I publish in order to be upvoted by them. And some answers came my way in the form of one or two posts per day. But why? I've asked myself... And an answer for that could be the one of fair distribution of upvotes which translate into Hive rewards. But why does it matter if I produce good content? Well, I guess because upvoters understand the importance and power of decentralization. This translates in the Hive blockchain power and influence of decisions being spread amongst multiple stakeholders instead of acting as a centralized authoritarian system.
Rewards distribution
While I believe there is no limit in how many articles one publishes per day, I agree that the blockchain rewards should not be concentrated on just a few authors. Spreading the wealth is more beneficial and creates an adoption wave by encouraging new authors and motivating existing ones to create content constantly. This is like a growth engine for this ecosystem on which we need to fuel it steadily. As Hive doesn't have a dedicated marketing budget, the users from here are the ones ensuring spreading the word and bringing new users from different channels. The power is in the numbers, thus we need many to be ambassadors of the Hive blockchain everywhere they are.
Consistency
Rather than quantity I appreciate more the consistency and the cadence used for publishing articles. This contributes to the health of the Hive blockchain by keeping it alive 365 days per year and attracting readers to come back day after day. In addition to that readers tracking favourite users will see a constant feed from wanted and appreciated publishers, rather than be overwhelmed by too much information at once. It is like slow cooking or slow eating, which is much healthier than an all you can eat buffet.
These are my thoughts while in transit travelling and I've let my mind put them in writing and share them with you. Now I would love to hear your thoughts on this whether in the form of constructive criticism :) or different.
