Proof of Sharing (POSH) is a Web3 protocol on the 2nd layer of the Hive blockchain that encourages and rewards the promotion of Web3 content on Web2 social media such as Twitter. At the moment by including a Hive post link in a tweet and adding the #hive tag the bot will automatically share your tweet under the Hive post you shared. Through curation, it can get upvotes in $Hive value and those will be transferred to the owner once the post is paid off. Simply this is another revenue stream channel that every Hive user can tap into and gain more by spreading the word about this ecosystem and the app and projects from here.
The Proof of Share protocol on Hive provides the following perks for those using it:
- earn POSH tokens as 2nd layer cryptocurrency on Hive blockchain which will show its value through multiple layer use cases
- earn HIVE tokens by sharing #hive content on Twitter proportional to the engagement from there (likes, comments, shares etc.)
- earn and use NFTs (future use case of the platform)
- expand Hive in other ecosystem and bring new users through additional channels
- earn through sharing #hive content on Reddit (not sure if this is enabled or integrated, although there is a manual Reddit channel on Discord where posts can be shared)
- future airdrops that might come our way (rumors about this are flying swiftly in different Hive discussion forums)
POSH has its own identity through a dedicated website where currently users can see their position on a Leaderboard and also link/unlink their social media accounts. This opens a new world of possibilities and who knows, maybe in the future we will have a seamless integration between chosen platforms and be able to share our posts more easily and spread the word about Hive.
For me crossing across platforms has become a habit and through it, I am earning both HIVE and POSH tokens. I have big hopes for POSH and this is why I am growing my bags with them and do not perform any selling from the start. At the moment I am holding 895 POSH tokens and my first target is to reach 1,000 POSH tokens. These are not staked as I don't know if staking POSH has any use case at the moment, but will keep a close eye on it. Besides this, I am looking for what the future might bring for the POSH ecosystem.
