I've taken a step forward into the making of RealTimeHive (RTH) website by acquiring a 1 Year VPS subscription. The cost of it was €58.96 or $62.30, which should cover the costs for 1 year of usage. It wasn't either cheap either too expensive, but it adds up besides all the other costs that come with launching a website.
Now I need to take the next steps by moving the domain to the new VPS hosting and starting to deploy a web server for supporting the application. I need to see what server I will be choosing to support current development (which is quite basic) and any future ones planned (which assume other architectures to be embedded, each with specific requirements and usages). I need to setup in place from the begging a TLS certificate to ensure cryptographic exchange of data and ensure visitors have a safe place when using it. Still a lot of small underlaying things to do but I am moving into the right direction.
I was lucky enough to get a promotion by choosing the 1 year subscription instead of the monthly one. Anything helps at this point and I plan to track all the costs, even if some of them might not be quantifiable and I am referring here to my time spend on programming. And I will have some help on that side from my brother which is a developer for so long time, thus he will surely speed some things and come faster with new features and fixed. But that's too early to speak about that as I am still building the infrastructure for it.
