AMG is the main token of DeheroGame card-collecting blockchain game that is launching on Rangers Protocol. This will also be the first of many gaming-related projects launched on Rangers Protocol and will be leveraging the underlying technology of the network.
The AMG token that will serve as the governance token of the project will be launched through MEXC Global exchange launchpad. This approach has proven to be a major success for the launch of other gaming related project and it is in line with the exchange's desire to continue furthering the development of decentralised blockchain-based projects.
The game is set to launch in Rangers Protocol but it will also have a multi-chain strategy in mind, so it is safe to expect the AMG token to have cross-platform utility. However, it's still in the early stages of development, so we'll just have to wait and see.
Speaking of utility, what I've gathered about the token is that it will not only serve as a governance token but will also have in-game utility. Holders of the AMG token will be able to use the token to level up NFT assets, pay for memberships, upgrade skills, and also use it to participate in special events, as required.
Just like Splinterlands where ranked battles pay you staked SPS tokens, a specific number of AMG tokens will be allocated to reward players. The AMG token for participants will come through performing daily tasks at certain levels, mystery box rewards and subsequent airdrops.
What we do know about the token, right now, is that measures have already been put in place to enable distribution. This will be achieved through a variety of airdrops, and of course, the aforementioned launchpad that has already started through the MEXC exchange.
Talking Token
When new projects like this come out, it is important to note that there will be iterations along the way. At the same time, there will be certainties and one we can be certain of is the total supply of 100 million AMG tokens.
There will be other tokens in the game but AMG token is stipulated to be the primary store of value in the game, beyond your NFTS of course. This is evident in the fact that the token will be earned through participation in the game and will also be used to upgrade your NFT assets.
14% or an estimated 14 million AMG tokens will be released at some point for a private sale. However, the specific date for that hasn't been communicated to the public, so it will remain locked for the time being.
I reckon this two-year period gives potential investors enough time to get their houses in order and throw their weight behind the project. Other than the private sale, there will also be other token allocations that will span a two-year period.
The team will receive 24% but in the initial period, it will only be 2.4% of the total allocation available after 90 days. It'll take two years for the entire 24% to be unlocked, so, the chances of a rug pull drop significantly.
There will be a treasury but I like to think of it as a DAO that will presumably be controlled by the community. One of the features of AMG is that it enables voting and I believe the funds in the treasury will go towards what the community decides through staked AMG votes.
36% or approximately 36 million AMG tokens will be set aside for marketing, creating market liquidity and further developments in the mainnet. An initial 6% will be released and the rest will be halved every 720 days after the game is officially launched
25% of the total supply will be set aside for P2E earnings with scarcity embedded in the code through a halving every two years. So, in essence, the earlier you get in and start playing, the more AMG tokens you stand to earn from playing.
The 25% set aside will also be used to reward players that perform daily tasks. The game isn't out yet but I can speculate that upgrading your NFT assets and playing at higher levels will also enable you to earn more AMG tokens.
AMG Token Allocation Schedule
Finally, 1% of the AMG token will be set aside for an IDO that will be released after the contract is deployed. Above is a graphical description of the token allocation schedule.
On the surface, it looks like the plan is to leverage the forces of demand and supply, thereby employing an age-old concept that worked quite well for Bitcoin. In the short term, it will be about ensuring minimal supply while boosting demand.
Keep in mind that while AMG token will be generated through P2E activities and doing tasks, most of the available token supply will actually end up being consumed from upgrades.
I also speculate that a decent chunk of AMG tokens will end up being staked and used for voting on proposals that will be carried out by the treasury. For what it is worth, this hasn't been confirmed, so it is mere speculation on my part.
How to participate in the MEXC Global AMG Airdrop
MEXC Global exchange will be backing the token's launch and to celebrate the listing of AMG, 1 million AMG tokens will be airdropped to MX token holders. Here is how to participate in the MEXC launchpad AMG airdrop;
- If you don't have a MEXC account, you can easily create one with my referral link. If you already have an account then you can skip this step
- After creating your account, you can deposit USDT, USDC or ETH into your MEXC Global exchange wallet address. Again, if you already have these assets in your wallet, then you can skip this step.
- MX token has a trading pair with any of the aforementioned assets, so you can buy some MX tokens with them. To participate in the airdrop, you need to have at least 1 MX token and that is $1.2 at the time of writing.
