While growing up i didn't really had the opportunity to be exposed to mobile devicese but I still remember vividly how I got my very first button phone as a gift from my parents for taking a first position at the evening tutoring lessons I was attending. Many people complained how I was too young for to get such distraction or being exposed to search technology. I can't say it was good or bad but I can say it helped me get use to some new technology. Just shortly after that I got my very first laptop that got me addicted and it was taken away from me by my parents for over a week just so I could focus on other activities and have normal fun life outside the technology haha. I didn't understand why they will do that to me as of then but now as I type this writeup, I very much do understand it now. For someone like me that was exposed to such technology at such age, it was a big deal for me. Shortly after that, I got my very first screen touch (Android phone) and so was my exposure to the internet space. I got registered to learn how to type with my computer alongside with understanding the computer and internet space very well.
In as much as there are few disadvantages in the internet space, their are also many more advantages to it and for someone that has been exposed to such devices for such a long period of time, I can tell you how hard it will be to actually stay a day without them but then again, their is what they call life at the other hand. I have never thought of staying one day without my devices or think of any coincidence that will lead to that but it happened anyways. Not to confused you but it's always good to learn how to survive with or without them. Here in Africa not having our mobile devices for few hours is never an issue since we always have light issues and sometimes we drop off our phones for our neighbors to charge for us with their generator light and sometimes we can go back to getting our phones only to see that they have already closed doors to sleep and all we can do is go back to your house and waiting till the next day which can be longer than expected (I mean the night haha) In situations like this, staying without my phone for approximately 12 hours above is not an issue but then again the waiting period never ends which most of you can agree with me very much.
Staying a day without my phone didn't Just happened recently as this is an experience I go while I was still in school being stopped by four guys alongside with my friend on our way coming back from the ATM machine to withdraw money that was meant to get us some test books and notebooks for the new semester. The situation was not a good experience and I got scared anyways. That was the period I stayed a day plus without my phone but that was actually the very first beginning of staying two or more days without my phone. I was so reckless for the two days I stay without a phone before getting a new phone. Although my friend did stayed almost a month before getting a new device which she was sharing mine with me almost all the time she waiting to get hers. She didn't have the resources likewise me but I got lucky to have had people that settled it for me earlier than expected. Funny enough the money I got for the new mobile device was a little bit more and I gave the remaining balance to her to complete for the payment. It took her almost a month to get a new phone after crying so long for the incident. It was actually my very first experience with such terrible people and so YES I have actually stayed a day and even more without my mobile device and I survived it. I was so reckless not only thinking about my lost device but also the incident that happened.
