When it comes to generating leads, there is nothing that comes close to giveaways. Recently, crypto twitter has been as lively as it could get. The last time I saw cryptotwitter this active was somewhere in 2017-2018. Through the giveaways my main aim has been to create a buzz, attract new people and potentially onboard some people.
The reasoning is simple. For one, I had myself created a specific account on twitter just to keep an eye on giveaways. That must mean there have to be more people out there who actively seek out giveaways. Some marketing better than no marketing, am I right?
Currently, I have more have something around 5000+ HP and 300+ LeoPower. This means I am in a good spot where I can start giving back to the community liquid and hive power. Once I reach 500 leo power, I can start doing Leo giveaways since 500 LeoPower puts me in a comfortable position in Leo, too.
500 Hive Power giveaway
Make your first account on $hive before we celebrate the 1st year anniversary and I will personally delegate 500 HP to you for 90 days!

Window open until 20th March

In this giveaway my target audience were new users. I wanted to onboard a few people, if possible. If someone would create an account for the first time on hive after coming across this tweet, I would delegate them 500HP for 90 days. No caps on how many participants, all new accounts could receive the delegation.
In my opinion, 500 is a good amount, especially for 90 days. It gives enough RC to post a good amount as well as interact with other posts. With 500 HP you could also try out some of the dapps on hive without fearing a depleting bandwidth.
Hive 1 year was a good occasion to run the giveaway. The tweet got a decent amount of attention, but no one actually made an account so the giveaway was a fail. No one gets the juicy 500 HP.
Community Suggestion Giveaway
🚀🚀🚀 Hive giveaway 🚀🚀🚀

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Which community on #hive would you suggest me to post a #sheesha review?
Top comment with highest likes will get a $hive tip. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉 pic.twitter.com/7tVcQH3QVr
In this giveaway, I chose a different angle. I asked the hive community for a suggestion as to where would this topic specifically fit. The aim was to get more people involved with the communities for a small bounty. It was an attempt at indirect marketing, where I was hoping a butterfly effect where someone interested in the topic would find a place where they could talk about their interests.
The giveaway was for the comment with the highest likes. I aiming to get more comments and the commenters marketing their comments for likes, which in return would promote communities on hive. It didn't play out as I wanted it to.
Plenty of media views, decent impressions, but engagement was a draught.
@belemo won this. Congrats.

This was my favorite giveaway to do. We celebrated the first hive birthday on 20th March. For the occasion, I decided to partner up with @priyanarc to buy a birthday cake and celebrate the event. Knowing that hive is very active on twitter, my strategy was to get as much engagement as possible on the tweet.
Twitter's algorithm always promotes tweets with high like, comment and retweets. (if we ignore the shadowbans). This strategy would allow the tweet to reach more eyes than something with lower engagement. More eyes means more interest, and hopefully some onboarding.
In this giveaway I asked the hivers which flavor of cake do they think Hive likes the most. The tweet did better than all my attempts at giveaways. 12 replies, 15 RT, 19 likes, and good impressions.
I used random name picker to select the 3 random winners. Thank you everyone for giving more power to the hashtag #hive and participating.

Congrats @andrewmusic, hasib shaer, @alphaccino.art
I am waiting for Hasib to send me his username.
The total amount of giveaways is $6.86 in current price. That could potentially be $60 when the price goes up. So hold, power up and train your diamond hands.
These were the giveaways of the last month. If you have any suggestions on improving or ideas you want me to execute please feel free to let me know. I am still waiting to reach 500 LP to start doing leo giveaways. Till then we will stick to hive.
I also want to thank @nathanmars. It was because of him I started my twitter hustle in late 2018. He still stands as an inspiration and I would like your suggestions, too.
