If you have been following me for while, you know that I am very excited about the recent NFT's that have been getting released on the WAX blockchain.
WAX is a sister/side(?) chain of EOS that has worked out many of the issue that people initially disliked about EOS. Besides the onslaught of NTF's that we have been seeing, they have also developed the Wax Cloud Wallet. The WCW allows you to easily create an account and get started with WAX simply by using an existing email or social media account.
One of the best investments (yes, it is an investment) I have made on the WAX blockchain is the KOGS project. I severely underestimated the first edition release and how popular it would be. I only picked up a couple of packs and left myself with only one spare to flip on the market.
That pack that I purchased for about $26 USD ended up selling for close to $260 USD.
This time I planned ahead a little bit and moved enough WAX into my account that I was able to purchase four packs at about 700 WAX a piece. That would have been about $25 USD given the price of WAX at the time. It has since dropped due to the SEC/Ripple thing like most other alts.
As you can see if I were to put this on the market right now the lowest other pack(s) on the Atomic Hub market are about $87. I think I could easily put it on the market for $75 and it would likely sell.
Personally, I am going to hold out and wait a little bit. There was a three hour window yesterday where KOGS was selling packs and in that time they made about $300,000 on both the WAX and the ETH side.
It sounds like they didn't sell out all of the packs yet, so I don't expect the prices of packs to really pump until those packs are all gone and only available from private sellers.
I did open up one of my four packs. They have smaller packs, but I bought the larger packs that hold 30 KOGS each. My total amount spent was just over $100 USD.
As you can see the best KOG I pulled so far was an Ultra Rare Bounty Hunter. On top of that, it is a first mint which should boost the value quite significantly for collectors that specialize in low mints.
Going price right now on the market for this KOG is about $35 USD and that isn't taking into account that it is a first mint. I think I could easily place this one KOG on the market for $50 and it would likely sale in time.
You have to remember, this is all taking place before KOGS has even released the game that these KOGS are going to be used in. They actually have a number of uses for KOGS (check out their website for more info).
The market has shown that these items have value just for collectors sake. I can't imagine how much the value could increase once they have a function(s).

You can pick up WAX on Bittrex which has a BTC pair or you can also buy WAX directly in the Wax Cloud Wallet using Moonpay and one other service (I don't remember the name right now).
