I've had a bit of a break from Hive and the world of crypto in general but now I'm back and excited about Hive more than ever! As I suspected, many things have gone forward in the crypto universe. The most notable changes I first discovered were the new Noise.app and LeoThreads.
Mornings are the best time for me to write posts but sometimes I have an idea that is just not big enough for a post. Or I want to comment on some big news in the crypto scene. Both Noise.app and Leo Threads work perfectly for that purpose.
Noise.app
Previously I have been pretty active on Noise.cash, a Twitter-like platform rewarding your activity with Bitcoin Cash. I don't know what exactly happened to that but now the reward stream has run dry. I remember there being lots of bots and spamming and at some point, it got a bit awkward with all the "hellodears" and "godblessyous".
Unlike Noise.cash on which you can follow and comment on everyone's posts, Noise.app lets you comment on the posts of users who you follow and who follow you. I kinda like this, it's a mutual agreement and will really tackle that spam problem.
The UI is nice looking and everything runs smoothly. Noise.app also rewards you with BCH based on your activity. In order to receive rewards you need to set up your BCH address. This can be done by clicking your avatar logo, then click the gear logo on the right side, scroll down a little and click the 'Add a donation address'. Then choose 'Bitcoin Cash (BCH)'.
I got somewhat 30 followers in a couple of days and I guess most of them are my friends from Hive but hopefully, some are new contacts also. Since many of my posts on Noise.app are, and will be, Hive related I think this can create a big synergy between the two platforms and attract new users to Hive.
Also, I've set up my Hive engine BCH address to receive the rewards as SWAP.BCH on the engine. You can of course use any Bitcoin Cash address. I think the most popular ones are BlockTrades and Bitcoin.com.
To join you will need an invite link from one of the users and guess what? Here it is: Noise.app. Hope you join us and see you there!
Leo Threads
This one has also become a part of my morning routine and I can see huge potential for it. Just like Noise.app, Leo Threads has that clean feel on its user interface. Very easy to jump in. You search the content you like by clicking the hashtags under the 'trending topics' and of course use the tags yourself to find the right audience for your posts. This latter one was partly a note to myself since I keep forgetting to use the tags...
Threads can have a huge synergy with Twitter in the future by attracting new users to Leo Finance and to Hive. Just the other day I was thinking that it would be cool to have a 'share also on Twitter' -button on Threads. You know, similar to the one on DBuzz. Not a big thing really since you can copy/paste your post on Twitter with ease but still.
All in all, Leo Threads is a great addition to Leo and Hive. And not only helpful to existing users but to attract new users as well and make it easier for them to jump in. If I'd just started to use Hive and Leo I think Threads would be a good point to start blogging.
Let's connect on both platforms!
