The year 2020 was very difficult for me, good indeed for everyone, but in my personal case not so much because of the pandemic but because of my economic situation. I have been living in a country that has been going through a social, economic and health crisis for some years now. In reality, everyone is aware of what is happening in Venezuela, but you have to experience it in your own flesh so that you can understand what I am talking about, how hard it is to live in this country.
Since I met steem in early 2017 I didn't have many expectations, I just said "let's see what happens" and as the months went by it exceeded my expectations, my life changed completely financially it was a big break for me and my family.
When the cryptographic market collapsed in late 2018 and steem went down the drain, I lost a lot of money because I had bought steem for over $1. Because of my financial situation and the fact that steemit was my only source of income in 2019 I spent all my savings selling my coins below 50 cents.
By September 2019 I had nothing left!! I had given power down my account and had no savings, I had lost everything unfortunately, I was surviving on the publications I wrote every week and some small extra income from private lessons, so I asked myself what do I do now?

I am a scientist and it is unfortunate that I studied for so many years for nothing, because the salary of a physicist at the largest institute in Venezuela does not reach $10, for this reason I stopped doing science and dedicated myself to blogging in steem.
The easiest option for Venezuelans is to emigrate and that is what I had planned to do in the beginning of 2020, but making that decision was very difficult for me because I have my wife and my daughter and separating from them would be very hard for me.
By the end of 2019 I was already studying a lot about "trading", reading tutorials, watching many videos daily and I made the decision to put my car for sale and with that money I could invest in cryptomonies and start trading and with this idea the possibility of staying in my country with my family. In my mind I said "I invest 1000$ in steem and with that I got momentum, I also turn on steempower and buy tokens in steem-engine and invest in the future".
Excellent strategy!! no?..
But I never thought that my life would take a complete turn and all my plans went to shit...
Because in December 2019 some criminals stole my car and this time I was left with nothing, absolutely nothing! With many outstanding debts and no money I didn't know what to do, besides that I pay rent, I was about to leave my family homeless, my head was spinning and I didn't know what to do, but I got closer to GOD and my life started to change.
In 2020 I started working with a lot of strength, my GOD had given me a lot of strength to go on, my mind, my brain and my body were like new and flowed from me many ideas. At that time I only had 50$ in USDT and a few steems and in February I started trading and was doing very well, then the fight between Justin Sun and the witnesses began and hive was born.
That was a total blessing for me!

My life changed again and with the airdrop I took advantage of about 1000 hive coins and invested them and started trading, then with the inclusion in huobi and binance I was able to get some profits that secured my life and my home for the rest of the year.
The pandemic has been very strong for everyone, but being locked up forced me to go to the limit and study more and spend more time in front of the computer. With the arrival of hive-engine I have invested in many tokens (I also trade there), at this moment I have approximately several bets about 30 different tokens, I regret very much that I have not invested more money in LEO, but no matter I will continue to invest little by little.
My wife is a doctor and in my country a doctor earns 10$ a month, she is a wonderful woman, she works very hard, she loves her profession and helping people, in August 2020 she tested positive for COVID19 and was in very bad health, fortunately it was 3 difficult weeks, but thanks to GOD everything went well. My daughter and I also tested positive for Covid19, but fortunately our immune system was quite strong and we did not present any symptoms, as did my parents and some other family members, however, not all of it was good news since I lost two family members to this deadly virus and it is painful. I hope this shitty virus ends soon.
This Christmas was good for my family, in 2019 it was difficult because in my country the tradition is to get together as a family to eat, drink and give gifts and that did not happen in 2019 due to our economic situation. But I feel very grateful to GOD that in this year I am filled with wisdom to make good decisions and that my investments have guaranteed me good profits and to be able to celebrate Christmas as I wanted in this 2020.

What is going to be my investment strategy for 2021?
I have little money, in fact 80% of my trading profits go on personal expenses for my family such as food, education, medicine, rent and help for my parents. The other 20% is for investment in crypto.
My strategy will be the same as in 2020, but this time it can be different, because my wife has already finished her 3 years of residency at the hospital and is a specialist doctor.
What does this mean?
That now you will be able to work in several medical centers since previously your contract as a medical resident was exclusive, then to our home from this 2021 will enter income that I did not have in 2020 fortunately and for that reason my profits of the trading can be directed completely to the investment in cryptosystems, I believe that a 60% of these profits can be destined to it and if you can invest extra money of another source of alternative income, that would be wonderful!
Do you have any specific assets you want to invest in?
I am a crazy person in love with HIVE and even though I see many negative comments about the platform I do not let myself be influenced by those comments. I blindly trust the potential of the HIVE blockchain and all its projects that are within the ecosystem as for example, LEO.
I have a lot of time in this blockchain and I know that there are people who love HIVE as much as I do and who are constantly working to make this ecosystem grow. If I start naming these people my list would be very long but among them are @theycallmedan and @khaleelkazi.
For me it is very difficult to turn on LEO or Hive because I don't have much income and as I mentioned before my only source is this. I am a 100% HOLD person in some currencies including hive and leo, but if in this new year my earnings are good it is very likely that all the LEO AND HIVE I buy will be turned on, "that is my biggest wish".
I am a curator of scientific content and for me science is very important because thanks to it I got to know the world of cryptomontages and that is why I like very much what @themarkymark does with @stemgeeks and I also have my bet on its token.
I hope to publish scientific content, I have about 9 months that I do not, it takes time to write high quality material when it comes to science.
I also have over 500k of "sports" and I am a lover of sports and it is something very globalized that everyone likes and knows, so I think this will go to the moon.
I have many more coins and what we are all waiting for is the beginning of the altcoin season, which is already starting.
But in conclusion HIVE, LEO are my biggest bets.
Preferred investment? Crypt, real estate, commodities, stocks?
As I just mentioned, crypto are my thing and I have several bets that I want to raise their value quite a bit, but I would also like to invest in options contracts in the stock market, I have quite a lot of knowledge about it because I was given a course on investing in options contracts in August and I have been studying a lot, but unfortunately I live in a country where there are many sanctions from the U.S. government and for that reason I cannot open an account in $ to be able to work in brokers.
Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and increase your participation?
My plan is simple as I just mentioned! continue to operate in the cryptographic trade and most of the profits will be bet on other currencies.
My goal is to be able to invest all my trading profits, for that I need another source of income and I think this year my wife with her profession may be the key to achieve this.
I want to invest much more in HIVE and LEO, to be able to turn on and also of course invest in other currencies and expand my portfolio. This is the key to guarantee the future of my daughter and my family and to be able to continue helping my parents.
I hope that by December 2021 I will have a lot of money saved up so I can have the option to buy my own house or maybe a car, if I could do it before just by publishing scientific content and buying a car, because not now with trading.

Of course for this we need the market to help us all and hive can be recovered.
One of my greatest wishes is that the community where I belong @stem-espanol and @stemsocial can expand more and reach more people.

My prediction about the price of life:
It is quite complicated to make a prediction when a person is in love with the currency, if it were possible for me I would wish it to live on $1 for life and with that I think all communities, curators, authors, investors would be happy that it was super profitable for everyone!
But if I dare to predict a price I think that if things are done right and an alternative season starts soon, we can see hive in about 30 cents by the second quarter of this year.
Hopefully I am wrong and start an exceptional high season that will lead us into higher price ranges. As I said this hive lover and I will always want the best for this project.
As for LEO I see more potential, his team does things very well they are more organized and have a good roadmap and as LEO has no roof, that is a resistance above 30 cents, I think it could easily reach 1$ in the next weeks.
