Stores that accept BCH in your country
Hello everyone.
I have been doing a review of the stores that accept Bitcoin Cash in the country of our preference. The thing is that I have found a viable alternative to locate these stores and I want to share it with you. I think it is of interest to all who use BCH, so it is not superfluous to know how to locate them. Maybe there is one of these stores near us and we don't know it.
How can we know which stores have adopted BCH in our country?
To do this we must use map.bitcoin.com. This website shows the stores that support Bitcoin Cash payments. In fact, it is a website that shows only the merchants that have affiliated with it (it is not a website that tracks stores, on the contrary these are registered on it). In this sense, searching on map.bitcoin.com is highly reliable.
It is important to note the following:
- map.bitcoin.com presents the information on a map on a global scale but, as with google map, we can explore the map according to our interests. If you want to see the stores that accept BCH in your country just hold down —with your finger or click with the mouse depending on the device you are using— any point on the map to get details about a place.
To illustrate how to do this I will use some screenshots:
The first screenshot of map.bitcoin.com shows the map-LATAM with the stores per country that accept BCH.
Remark: Venezuela is the Latin American country with the most stores receiving BCH. In fact, BCH is winning the race in store adoption within the Venezuelan territory by surpassing the number of establishments accepting BCH instead of Bitcoin. About 400 stores in Venezuela currently receive BCH versus about 380 that accept BTC (about this last amount —I am referring to the stores that accept BTC in Venezuela— you can check it out at this website https://coinmap.org/view/#/world/7.85249864/-70.29052734/6).
The second screenshot shows how from the previous map we can locate ourselves in Venezuela (or the country of our choice). This map now shows the stores by state that accept BCH.
Remark: In Venezuela, Gran Caracas has more than 173 stores, but not all are shown due to overlapping green pins.
The third screenshot shows Greater Caracas. Notice that zooming in clears all the areas we want to see.
The fourth and last screenshot shows something interesting. If you click on a certain green pin (the one you are interested in) a window appears with the store details, including address and phone number. Valuable information in case we want to call and ask about the store's services (payment method with BCH, for example, or what items are available for sale).
Sometimes we want to use Bitcoin Cash avoiding the exchange to dollars (or Tether) and, therefore, to the local currency. This alternative that I present here using map.bitcoin.com is worth exploring depending, of course, on the area where we are.

Comercios que aceptan BCH en su país
Hola a todos.
He estado haciendo una revisión de los comercios que aceptan Bitcoin Cash en el país de nuestra preferencia. El caso es que he encontrado una alternativa viable para ubicar estas comercios y la quiero compartir con ustedes. Pienso que es de interés para todos los que usan BCH, por lo que no está demás saber cómo ubicarlos. Quizá hay una de estas tiendas cerca de nosotros y no lo sabemos.
¿Cómo podemos saber cuáles comercios han adoptado BCH en nuestro país?
Para ello debemos utilizar map.bitcoin.com. Este sitio web muestra las tiendas que respaldan los pagos con Bitcoin Cash. De hecho, es una web que muestra sólo los comercios que se han afiliados a él (no es un sitio web que rastrea tiendas, al contrario estas se registran en él). En tal sentido hacer búsquedas en map.bitcoin.com es altamente confiable.
Es importante tener en cuenta lo siguiente:
- map.bitcoin.com presenta la información en un mapa a escala global pero, al igual que con google map, podemos explorar el mapa según nuestros intereses. Si quieres ver las tiendas que aceptan BCH en tu país sólo tienes que mantener presionado —con el dedo o haciendo clic mediante el ratón según el dispositivo que uses— cualquier punto del mapa para obtener detalles acerca de un lugar.
Para ilustrar cómo hacerlo utilizaré algunas capturas de pantalla:
La primera captura de pantalla de map.bitcoin.com muestra el mapa-LATAM con los comercios por país que aceptan BCH.
Nota: Venezuela es el país latinoamericano con más comercios recibiendo BCH. De hecho, BCH está ganando la carrera en adopción en comercios dentro del territorio venezolano al superar el número de establecimientos que aceptan BCH en lugar de Bitcoin. Alrededor de 400 comercios en Venezuela reciben actualmente BCH frente a unos 380 que aceptan BTC (sobre esta última cantidad —me refiero a las tiendas que aceptan BTC en Venezuela— puedes comprobarlo en esta web https://coinmap.org/view/#/world/7.85249864/-70.29052734/6).
La segunda captura de pantalla muestra cómo desde el mapa anterior podemos ubicarnos en Venezuela (o en el país que elijamos). Este mapa muestra ahora los comerciantes por estado que aceptan BCH.
Nota: En Venezuela, la Gran Caracas tiene más de 173 comercios, pero no se muestran todos debido a la superposición de los pines verdes.
La tercera captura de pantalla muestra específicamente la Gran Caracas. Obsérvese que al hacer zoom se despejan todas las zonas que queremos ver.
La cuartay ultima captura de pantalla muestra algo interesante. Si se pulsa sobre un determinado pin verde (el que nos interese) aparece una ventana con los datos de la tienda, incluyendo la dirección y el número de teléfono. Información valiosa por si queremos llamar y preguntar por los servicios de la tienda (forma de pago con BCH, por ejemplo, o qué artículos están disponibles para la venta).
A veces queremos usar Bitcoin Cash evitando el cambio a dólares (o Tether) y, por tanto, a la moneda local. Esta alternativa que presento aquí usando map.bitcoin.com vale la pena explorarla dependiendo, por supuesto, de la zona donde nos encontremos.
