I recently went through my HP delegations, and I noticed a delegation to a fairly new person here on Hive, @leighmine.
This post can help all navigate the short content Jungle here on Hive
@leighmine, please read so you don't get "punished" by communities.
Also, personal advice to you: you don't need to add the "#" in front of the tags you put in your articles, only if you do it in the article itself and not in the "Tags" field.
I sometimes see new accounts and delegate 40 HP to them for some time.
This particular seem to have posted microblogging content in long form posts.
And I get it, Hive is a jungle when you first start out!
Microblogging
In my experience, microblogging is best done in one of the following places.
From computer
- InLeo Threads (/@v2)
- Peakd Snaps (https://peakd.com/snaps/snaps/newest)
- Ecency waves (https://ecency.com/waves)
From phone
To use these interfaces from phone (like an app), you can go to the websites from a browser, and usually they will have the option to click "install".
Doing it this way is best done by logging in with your posting key. In my opinion, anyway.
Alternatively:
- Go to the website
- Click on the browser menu (usually burger-menu or 3 dots)
- Find and click Add to home screen (text may vary, depending on your phone/browser)
Once it is added to your home screen, you can use it like an app.
Way cool! 😎
Dedicated app
Ecency has an app. It allows for push notifications, which I personally find very useful.
Full experience
The best all-round experience, in my opinion, comes from Peakd.
Their Snaps allow you to browse other Short content interfaces, which I think is great!
This is the way Hive should work 💯
Watch your step
Posting from Snaps directly to Threads isn't the best idea, as it won't show.
Threads basically only accept content created from Threads itself.
Rewards on this content works in the same way as on regular articles/long-form content.
With this in place, you are now ready to do microblogging!
Happy blogging!!
