Today I wanted to let loose on what everyone is obsessing over, and offer a different take.

Can we finally shut the fuck up about the Bitcoin Spot ETF?
Okay I got that out of the way :D. I know that there are quite a bit of people out there that think this whole Bitcoin ETF thing is a huge win for people because green candles and money go up! That's the biggest load of horse shit in my opinion and it actually shows quite a bit of how many people are truly pathetic little weasels.
I don't mean to sound harsh here.. but it's pretty disgusting that people are crying and begging to be regulated and brought under heel of the government. The same government that has performed some pretty heinous powerful grabs of money, influence and so many other atrocious things. I know that this is a symptom of a larger disease going through western countries right now where the people are begging to be governed more instead of less. It's quite the fascinating but at same time frustrating situation to see unfolding before my eyes.
I am not one to say that I am perfect by any stretch. We do need some rules and I will admit that there is a balance between having some structure and having no structure at all. There is a lot to be said about having too much governmental influence in an area though. We all see how atrocious Congress critters are at doing things in a very nefarious and negative way for the average citizen of the United States. What makes us think that now that the ETF's have been approved, that there is going to be anything of benefit that happens to it now? It's really a pretty pathetic game of instant gratification.
Now that the SEC has approved a few ETF's, what are these government maxi's going to obsess about now? Are they going to now shift and say that we have to get a CBDC passed and start using it? I am really unsure at what the extent of their insanity is going to reach, to be quite honest! I know it seems weird and a stretch.. but it really is a pretty unfortunate thing to see. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is supposed to be anarcho by default, in that it is a parallel system meant to fight against the corruption of the US dollar and Euro. The more we fold it into the dollar and Euro like we are doing with the ETF adoption, the less it's going to become the ideal that it was meant to be so many years ago when it was first written and thought of.
At the same time though, one of the important things is that we are humans, and humans innovate. We are very fucking good at making new things! I know it seems like this is a weird stretch but one of the important things is that we find a need and fill the void with something. Bitcoin has presented a need and filled the void for quite a while now. It's been a good asset and will definitely be an expensive asset that has a fair bit of worth attached to it, however it's time may have come and gone in terms of being what the original group of people had envisioned it to be. Perhaps now is where the building of new crypto projects that rival the decentralization of Bitcoin can really start to flourish and come into their own.
You know that I'm talking about Hive! I know that we are not ready for prime time here, but the more we build and continue in the background, doing great work and decentralizing not only the stake that we users have on the platform, but our infrastructure, the better we will become overall. We often talk about mass adoption and perhaps one day we will see what that looks like. I know we've got some pain to go through between now and then but I know that we are going to fill a void in the realm of humans at some point. We are doing a great job at it right now, helping people out in Sucre Venezuela, digging bore holes for water for villages in Africa and keeping people from starving in many countries in the world. We are doing that really well, I can say that! We do need to get our time in the limelight though, and I know that we will be able to shine when it comes time. We just need to keep our nose to the grindstone and doing what we are doing here.
There are a number of other platforms out there, some with mild success like Minds but the important thing is that we are all working together to improve the decentralized landscape for not only social media and finance but of cryptocurrency overall.
Let's fucking move on away from this obsession over Spot ETF and get back to work, where we belong! We have decentralization to focus on!
