The benefit of having more Hive Power is that you get an opportunity to claim an account creation token and you can able to redeem it for the Hive accounts which means you can create accounts on Hive for yourself, friends and families free of cost using the Resource Credits you have.

What are Resource Credits (RC)
Resource Credits are non-transferable credits given to each and every account on Hive based on how much HivePower it has and these RCs are spent whenever we do any transaction on the Hive Blockchain be it comments, votes, transfers etc. In the above image, you can see I have around 10M Resource Credits and I can do a lot of transactions on Hive and I will never run out of Resource Credits.
Now think about a person who just joins the Hive platform having 0 Hive Power, then he cannot do a simple comment or post because he does not have that Resource Credits with him. And that makes the resource credit so much more important.
What Resource Credits are used for
Resource Credits are used for transactions on the Hive blockchain. The transactions are like votes, comments, transfers and power ups. That means you pay your Resource Credits to perform these transactions. Each transaction has a specific cost in Resource Credits and if a profile has enough resource credits to perform that transaction, you can do the transaction otherwise you cannot.
Claiming Account Creation Token using Resource Credits
Now along with doing transactions you can claim the account creation token by using your resource credits. So that means we can claim the account token now and create the account free of cost in the future. As you can see in the below image, Peakd. com gives an ability to claim the account creation token and also gives ou the number of tokens you have already claimed.
In my case I usually claim a token once in 3 days so now I have around 36 tokens left which mean today I can create 36 accounts on Hive. As of today, Resource Credits are non-transferable and because of that account which needs to do a lot of transactions usually have a lot of Hive Power Stakes because that gives them too many Resource Credits to do transactions. But think about the future when the Resource Credits can be transferable then it can be distributed across the accounts which can onboard the user quite fast.
