El bagholder es aquel que invierte en un activo para conservarlo a largo plazo; es decir, aun cuando el activo cambia su precio de manera negativa este lo conservará esperando beneficios del precio a futuro. Por esto se dice el inversor queda “sosteniendo la bolsa”. Pueden ser criptomonedas, forex, o incluso bonos que están "sosteniendo" mientras el precio está cayendo constantemente.
Según el Urban Dictionary, la palabra “bagholder” viene desde los tiempos de la gran depresión. En aquel entonces, las personas hacían filas en los comedores sociales sosteniendo bolsas de patatas.

Ahora bien, si quieres evitar ser un bagholder, tienes que ser paciente con tus operaciones. Dedícate a estudiar bien al mercado, analizar e intuir. No compres una acción solo porque otra persona lo haga (esa es una de las formas más comunes en que la gente se queda con la bolsa).
