Today I was 628 Hive short of 150K HP and could not resist a quick power up to hit the mini milestone. With the markets seemingly not doing much you may as well have your HIVE working for you. We all know how Sods law works so watch the price rise this week and if it does that is not that bad. I was keeping liquid HIVE to gain extra HIVE from the pump and dumps, but those have been quiet lately. The same thing happens when you buy or sell crypto as it is always the opposite that happens afterwards leaving you in a why did I do that mode.
"Sod's Law," a British idiom, essentially means that "if something can go wrong, it will," often implying misfortune will occur at the worst possible time, and is a humorous way of acknowledging the tendency for things to go wrong.
Having more HIVE Power works both ways as it helps you grow quicker and also supports others helping them grow. We are all in this together and no one can grow on their own and why it is important to keep tracking your growth maintaining the momentum. 7 years and 11 days to unlock the 150K HP mark and there is plenty of work left with the hope one day I can join the other HIVE whales. This is something that should be everyone's goal as all it takes is many many years.
This screenshot was take last Saturday ad yes it does fluctuate as the vote value is now 6.92 HIVE even after a 628 HIVE power up. This in the next month or so should be well over 7 HIVE and the low will become 7.
I always judge my growth using the HIVE vote which is not easy as it fluctuates so much and it is a matter of being patient. The vote value can take months before it budges and when it does it can be significant gains.
A example was 10 days ago the vote value was at 6.74 HIVE and 4 days later was on 7 HIVE. Prior to this the vote value had taken nearly 2 months to climb from 6.65 HIVE. The important take from all of this is you are growing and your curation rewards will increase whilst helping others with a bigger vote value.
Gone are the days when I had targets to achieve like I do on my other crypto projects. HIVE is very different because it is more personal and requires you to be actively involved. There are no breaks once you start as you need rewards arriving daily to keep the growth consistent. This is keeping things simple and it works showing there are no tricks or short cuts. I guess using the cycle for the highs and lows is the only short cut available and I hope to use that wisely if and when that happens later this year.
The HIVE I have is staying on HIVE and is not for real world use because I believe this can one day be a really good passive income stream rivalling any top pension scheme. My bet is HIVE would trump this by many thousands of dollars annually and why having stake is that important and is a priority to keep growing. This is not for now, but many years into the future when we all believe crypto will become main stream. I will sell a major portion later this year and buy back when the price drops whether that is swapping via HBD or externally I have no clue.
