According to Coin Market Cap the price of GCOTI is higher than COTI and not something I had planned for, but it is a very welcome surprise. In crypto you must always expect the unexpected and what makes it so much fun as you can never guess what might happen.
Every week the stake in the Treasury generates rewards in COTI and GCOTI so these numbers are constantly rising. This week I have another 170 GCOTI being added to the almost 23K GCOTI stake which will see my GCOTI have a value of $2720.
Receiving around $80 worth of GCOTI monthly over and above the COTI being earned $120 means the stake is growing by around $200 each month which is quite incredible.
When the GCOTI token was launched via the airdrop he price was seen as having a value of somewhere been a 25-50% value of COTI. This would be $0.03-$0.06c
and not at the same level or above that of COTI.
The GCOTI tokens role is that of Governance for voting on important decisions in the community plus it offers a boosting power when staked alongside your COTI within the Treasury 1/1. This is not an easy token to get your hands on due to the low liquidity being held on various exchanges and like many others I have given up trying to purchase more. The only growth I have is what is being earned weekly and that is worth around an extra 0.1% as an APR which I feel is more important than the GCOTI value.
The numbers just keep on rising for both the COTI and GCOTI each week so this is having a double barrel earning potential which was not expected. This has to be seen as a lucky break and a bonus and why staying involved and growing with your investment as the key to unlocking the potential.
I have never even contemplated selling the GCOTI stake because it is more valuable as a booster for the APR long term. Even if GCOTI had to stay being more valuable than GCOTI I would still not sell because I would need this for boosting my COTI when I buy back in after having sold the COTI. The extra APR it adds is seriously significant with one of my staked COTI pools receiving an extra 10%. That 10% is more than the APR on offer and why the GCOTI is considered to hold so much value.
I would value GCOTI at the same level as COTI for the earning potential it offers and if the market was at the start of the Bear now I would be buying or trying to buy GCOTI instead of COTI. COTI is what I will be selling so currently this has to be the priority for building and will switch to GCOTI after the ATH's.
