I thought I would write a post to help @meno keep his newly onboarded army active as they need to not only hear it from @meno ,but others as well. Many maybe do not know this as @meno really helped me battle through the early stages of HIVE with his "helpie" community and I benefitted immensely from this. Maybe this would be a good time to start it back up and I would help assist if required?
Firstly The APR
The APR on HIVE hovers around 3% and is the benchmark type of APR we can expect but in the last few months has dropped as low as 2.92% and is now back up over 3% currently sitting at 3.14%.
Stake makes more stake and in my case the stake is now generating 13.94 HIVE daily just from the APR. Many in the community are driven by price and maybe if you were driven by stake and growing stake price becomes some what secondary due to the numbers and value being created. Holding some type of dollar value even when the HIVE price has dropped so much is kind of reassuring because you know the numbers will rise at some point.
Accumulation is what HIVE is about as HIVE is unique due to the many reward streams we have at our finger tips all being compounded continuously. Yes it does take time to become established when starting out as you are building the foundations in order to grow. Giving yourself the time to grow is vitally important as the growth process does become easier due to the stake earning the rewards.
Staying Active
@meno mentioned in one of his posts recently how hard it is to get new users he has onboarded to remain active and this is the hardest time for anyone. When I started out the rewards were nothing and this is not easy and is more about just staying consistent no matter how hard it might be. The support picks up over time and it took a good 6 months to be kind of accepted by the community. It was hard at the time as the blockchain was full of users trying to get their slice of cake before they disappeared. They will be back again when the price rises and many things have changed so it will not be so easy next time around.
The first 1000 HIVE my account earned took a good 5-6 months and these days with so much support via curation projects seeking out new users it is far easier to get going. Things were tough 7 years ago and if you think this is tough today trust me you are fortunate and have a huge opportunity to get started. The first steps are the hardest as you need to crawl first before you can walk and then run. Change your life by sticking it out as HIVE is life changing on so many levels and not just the rewards as this place is really good fun.
The more you learn about HIVE and how the blockchain works the more enjoyable the experience will be so do not rush and expect things immediately as this takes time. Anything in life that has a perceived value is never easy and HIVE is no different. If HIVE was so easy then where is everyone as many have given up along the way looking for something easier. The reality HIVE is easy if you give it the time required and is far more rewarding than any other crypto out there when it comes to earning rewards.
My advice to any new member of HIVE wanting to be successful is to take it slowly and do not put any pressure on yourself and enjoy the time you spend on the blockchain because you will be rewarded. Over time you will see the growth and see exactly how HIVE works and why time is the ingredient along with consistency to unlocking HIVE rewards.
