One of the most reliable phones I have ever had.
Yesterday I had rather a large direct debit come off my bank account which was not planned. Like many during these times I am careful and know exactly what my financials are daily. It was for my business phone which is on contract so all calls are basically covered. Every now and then I have to pay in when I have an exceptionally busy month, but not now during lock down.

My current phone which was not very popular due to it's curved screen and is apparently very easy to break. I have had many for over 5 years and it isn't even cracked.
I went and visited the phone shop and was told that due to it being a business line they couldn't help me and gave me the details of who to phone. After a quick call they told me I was subscribed to over 100 various apps. Quite strange as I have had no notifications and haven't subscribed to a single one ever.
A reference number was given to me and a code that blocked the phone from any other apps in the future plus removing whatever was currently on the phone. According to the lady I spoke to this is very common especially with business contracts. I suppose not may care or even check unless it hits them directly in the pocket. Whoever is doing it must be making a fortune for now, but I think companies will be monitoring spend a little more carefully these days as budgets are tightened.
Once they have done the required checking I expect a full refund which is slightly north of $500. As my service provider they should be monitoring this as it is fraud and is in their best interest to prevent this type of crime. I am sure there are benefits for them to turn a blind eye to this type of behavior as it must help generate massive profits for them somehow.

Going to get something really basic like a CAT phone as I just need reliability.
Once this is all cleared up I will be moving over to a pay as you go contract as I have no faith in the service they are providing. How many others are thinking along the same lines and how much business are they losing? These days many things like crypto exchanges are a must on your phone so if someone can add an app without knowing what else are they up to. My phone is old as it is only used for texting and phone calls as I literally hate the phone. It is a tool for business and nothing else and don't understand people wanting to spend time on it messaging each other. If you have something important to discuss phone the person otherwise what is the point.
I have never been technologically advanced and normally happy with whatever I have as long as it works. Maybe after 5 or 6 years it is time to get a more modern phone that will last me the next 5 years. There are some really nice ones kicking about that have all sorts of offerings on them yet knowing me I won't change and will stick to just business usage. I have never done Face Book and any other social media crappy stuff and wont be tempted to start now.
