There was a time in the crypto market when people made a lot of money just by using new platforms, through the famous airdrops. As a reward for their trust and assistance, users received some native project tokens in their wallets for free. Many of these tokens ended up reaching a very high value.
Well, much to the delight of us all, apparently that time is back! Those who paid attention to the tips and followed some relatively simple steps were presented with Arbitrum tokens a few days ago, which are currently worth a little more than a dollar. And another big opportunity is coming, with a possible zkSync airdrop.
Just imagine being able to get to know one of the platforms with promising technology better, the Zero Knowledge systems, and still have the chance to be financially rewarded for it. That's what could happen soon! We're expecting a zkSync airdrop to be on the way, and we'll get you ready for it.
To qualify for the airdrop you will need to meet certain requirements, which include performing certain actions on the platform. In this post I will give you all the information about the steps to follow to try to be eligible for zkSync tokens. So, be sure to read until the end and complete all the steps carefully! But first, what is an airdrop?
Airdrops
A cryptocurrency airdrop is a method of distributing free tokens to a community of users. It's a strategy used by companies to increase the visibility and usage of their tokens. Giving out free tokens can be done for a variety of reasons, including promoting a new project, rewarding existing token holders, or creating a dedicated user base.
Users can receive free tokens in their cryptocurrency wallet simply for owning a certain cryptocurrency, participating in a community or fulfilling other tasks specified by the airdrop organizers. It is important to note that tokens received in an airdrop may or may not have immediate monetary value, but may be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges and possibly increase in value over time.
What is zkSync?
With the increasing adoption of the Ethereum network, zkSync is an important solution to solve scalability issues on the network, allowing more transactions to be carried out quickly, securely and cost-effectively.
The zkSync platform uses ZK (zero knowledge) technology, which allows transactions to be carried out without the need to disclose confidential information, maintaining user privacy. Through this technology, zkSync is able to group several transactions into one, which reduces the load on the Ethereum network and lowers the cost of fees for using the network.
Another advantage of zkSync is its ability to ensure security through a transaction verification process that does not involve disclosing confidential information. This brings the ability to maintain user security and privacy, without compromising transaction speed and efficiency.
The zkSync user interface is user-friendly and allows for easy use of the platform. Furthermore, it is compatible with most ERC-20 and ETH tokens, allowing users of various cryptocurrencies to utilize the solution.
In summary, zkSync is a solution to solve scalability problems on the Ethereum network, making transactions faster, safer and more cost-effective, without compromising the privacy and decentralization of the network.
Ecosystem
zkSync is a complete solution for scalability on the Ethereum network, offering not only a solution for fast, secure and cost-effective transactions, but also an ecosystem that allows other companies to develop applications on top of the platform, making it even more versatile and adaptable to the market needs.
In addition to being a solution for scalability, it also offers a series of tools for other projects to build on top of its ecosystem. This allows other companies to develop applications and services that take advantage of the benefits of zkSync, making the platform even more versatile.
Among the tools available on the platform are the integration with the Rust programming language, which allows developers to build applications in zkSync, and the zkSync SDK, which offers resources for creating decentralized applications (dApps) that use ZK technology.
zkSync also offers an open API that allows other projects to integrate with the platform, as well as comprehensive documentation that helps developers implement zkSync-based solutions. This means that the platform is open to a wide variety of projects, from small applications to large enterprises.
Possible airdrop
zkSync has just launched its mainnet, which is a major milestone for the project. With this, the team will be able to start working on launching their native token, which can be distributed via an airdrop. It is worth mentioning that participation in the mainnet and testnet can increase the chances of being eligible for a possible airdrop.
Therefore, if you are interested in participating in the zkSync community and potentially receiving free tokens, we highly recommend trying the zkSync mainnet and testnet and keeping an eye on their future developments. Stay tuned for updates from the team and possible announcements related to a possible airdrop of zkSync tokens in the future.
Step by step to increase your chances
First of all, you need to know that following these steps (or any other airdrop guide) does not guarantee that you will meet the criteria set out later, nor that you will receive any kind of compensation. What we do is consider the most obvious criteria usually chosen by projects and the platforms that can provide this interaction.
There may not be any kind of airdrop, if there really is, it may take longer than expected and, in case you meet the requirements and receive the tokens, their value may be low, or even less than what you spent for try to qualify. Keep this in mind and never risk funds you cannot afford to lose.
Security Tip: To avoid any risk, we recommend that you have a specific wallet to carry out possible airdrop tasks.
zkSync currently has two networks in operation:
- zkSync 1.0 (now called zkSync Lite)
- zkSync 2.0 (now called zkSync Era)
Both will operate simultaneously as two separate networks indefinitely. You can try to increase your chances of getting a better airdrop by interacting with both, but we're going to focus our guide on just the main network to save you time and make sure you follow all the most important steps.
With that said, let's get down to business!
zkSync Era
1- Transfer funds
Go to http://bridge.zksync.io. You will need to have some ETH tokens on the Ethereum network in your wallet.
Connect to the website and sign the transaction in your wallet.
Choose the amount of tokens you want to send to the Era network, sign the transactions and wait for confirmation. With the ETH tokens available on the zkSync mainnet you will be able to interact with it. Let's start with the DEXes!
2- Use some DEXes
By using the DEXes that have already been built in the zkSync ecosystem, you have a chance to better position yourself for a possible airdrop and you can even farm some platform tokens that can have a good appreciation if the Era really takes off. Then use Syncswap and Mute to swap between tokens and provide liquidity in any of the available pools.
3- Create an NFT
NFTs are a relevant part of any network. So it is very likely that they have some relevance among the possible criteria for a zkSync airdrop. To start preparing, you can now mine an NFT in Era. For this you must use the MintSquare platform. You will also find a few collections of NFTs for sale on the platform. Pay close attention to ensure that the Era network is selected when lying or acquiring an NFT!
4- Create a .zk domain in Era
The next step is to secure a unique domain on the zkSync network. The zKNS platform provides a name service solution for the Era network. Here you can register a custom domain that will guarantee quick access to your address. The fee charged does not exceed 10 dollars. Enter your desired domain name, check availability and register a .zk domain.
5- Use the bridge to Orbiter Finance
Orbiter Finance is a pioneering platform in the zkSync network ecosystem that provides a bridge for transferring tokens between various second layer networks and other ecosystems to the Era network. In addition, it also offers up-to-date data on movements in various networks. It is speculated that there will also be an airdrop of tokens from Orbiter Finance, so you can qualify for both at once. Transfer your ETH tokens back to Mainnet and back to Era using Orbiter's bridge.
6- Play Tevaera
Those who like games have one more option to try to receive more tokens in a possible airdrop. All you have to do is interact with the first game built on the zkSync Ecosystem, Tevaera. For now it is in the testing phase, but you can already get ahead!
7- Complete zkSync tasks in Crew3
There's no secret here. All you have to do is complete tasks to accumulate reward points on the Crew3 platform. The campaigns carried out on it are created exactly to reward user engagement and assistance, so it is quite likely that their implementation will be considered in the event of an airdrop.
8- Donate to zkSync projects on Gitcoin
Giving back to developers who ventured out and pioneered the Era ecosystem when it was still in its early stages of development makes perfect sense. So it's possible that zkSync is thinking about encouraging user actions that favor its pioneering devs. One of the projects is SyncSwap, but you can look for others, or wait until you find something that interests you more.
Follow the zkSync ecosystem
These were the basic steps to guarantee you a good starting position in a possible zkSync token airdrop. But you need to continue to closely monitor the development of the ecosystem so as not to miss opportunities. Nobody knows when and if the airdrop will happen, it could take a while.
Until that happens, many promising projects may appear there. I've said a few times that projects that use Zero Knowledge systems are a big trend. So stay tuned!
