I thought I should share this…
Just read something from a woman who ended up in the ICU — all because of a kidney stone that turned into sepsis. She nearly died.
And while lying there, full of tubes and machines beeping, she realized none of the stuff she used to stress about mattered anymore.
Not her job.
Not arguments with her husband.
Not family drama.
Not the pressure to be the “perfect” anything.
Not the shopping cart full of things she didn’t need.
She said she woke up and started deleting her entire life checklist.
That line stayed with me:
“Your body is the only real asset you have.”
Honestly, it hit me.
We always say “health is important” like it’s a nice idea. But reading her story made it feel real. Like… what’s the point of everything else if your body gives out?
Made me think about how often I push through tiredness, ignore small health stuff, or stress over things that, if I’m being honest, aren’t even worth it.
So yeah, just putting this out there in case someone else needs the reminder too:
Take care of yourself. For real. Not just in theory.
Because nothing else works if you don’t.
That’s it. Just felt like it was worth sharing.
