I think I’ve found myself a new toy... I mean, a new tool. Hehehe. PowerPaul, the CEO of CryptoCompany, has once again created something cool! And it's also a great way to burn some of those CCD tokens. He built a sink for the CCD faucet, and it’s actually a very useful networking tool that can help you expand your reach or grow your network on the platform. It’s called Vote View.
This exciting new tool got me so curious that I had to try it out immediately. The basic idea behind Vote View is to give you an overview of your own curation activity in relation to the upvotes you’re receiving. It doesn’t just show you the obvious stats. It also provides an extra layer of insight into how your posts are attracting attention from your supporters.
Since Hive is a social media platform, wouldn’t it be helpful to understand the status of your network? It raises some important questions:
- Are you giving more than you're receiving?
- Who are your main supporters?
- Who are you supporting?
- Are they also engaging with your content?
- Is the relationship one-sided or is it mutual?
- Are there authors you're unintentionally overlooking who deserve your attention?
These were the kinds of questions that came to mind while I was reading through the analysis report generated by the tool.
Now that I think about it, I jumped into the main topic a bit too quickly without even giving a proper introduction to the tool. So let me rewind and explain how I discovered it.
PowerPaul posted an announcement in the CryptoCompany Discord channel, and it piqued my curiosity. It turned out to be about a new service in the CryptoCompany dApp called Vote View. He mentioned something about a discount for this service, so I decided to check it out and see how it works.
Sure, there are already dApps that can show the incoming and outgoing upvotes of a user. However, what sets Vote View apart is that it offers more advanced features to analyze how your curation network is performing.
I tested it by running an analysis on 1 day’s worth of incoming and outgoing voting activity over the past 24 hours. It cost me 2,000 CCD tokens, which is equivalent to less than 1 Hive. Pretty affordable, if you ask me.
As for pricing, the more days you want analyzed, the more CCD tokens you'll need to pay. But the good news is that the cost per day decreases the more days you include in your order.
Still, I didn’t want to overspend, so I decided to test it with just 1 day. It took a little while to get the report, but now that I’ve received it, I can say the wait was totally worth it.
Okay, so here’s what I gathered from the analysis report.
In the past 24 hours, I received upvotes from 397 unique accounts, which I think is pretty good. However, I do suspect that the majority of these are users following a curation trail. Unfortunately, the report doesn’t identify which curator they’re following, so I can't really comment further on that.
The report also shows that the upvotes I received are moderate in value, meaning I don’t have any whale supporters. I actually see this as a positive sign because it suggests I have a broad base of supporters with diverse levels of Hive Power.
Interestingly, the highest single upvote I received came from someone who is almost at whale level, but I believe it was a random upvote, not one from a regular supporter. So I wouldn’t count it as a part of my core network.
Looking deeper into the analysis, I also noticed that most of the upvotes were low in dollar value. I consider this a good thing because it highlights that numbers matter. I'm genuinely happy about this because it shows that many users still believe in curation and are holding decent Hive Power. Altogether, I received a total upvote value of $18.96.
This value was calculated from data collected between July 18, 2025 (12:00 AM UTC) and July 19, 2025 (11:03 AM UTC), covering a period of 23 hours.
Considering that I don't have any whale-level supporters, I’d say this isn’t bad at all. That $18.96 came from 397 different users, which I think is a great indication that curation is very much alive on the platform.
I say this because there was a time in the past when content creators felt that the only way to earn was by receiving either a generous upvote from a whale or a big upvote from a major curation group.
But I have neither of those. As shown in the data, my earnings came from a wide range of individual users, most of whom don't have high levels of Hive Power. Yet their upvotes, no matter the size, still added up to a meaningful total for my post.
In summary, the Vote View tool gave me valuable insights into how my content is performing and who is engaging with it. It’s encouraging to see that consistent support from many users can still add up to something meaningful, even without whale-level backing. I’m excited to continue exploring these insights and growing my network through genuine curation and connection.
