A lot of people who "Get into business" tend to be pretty creative types.
"Creative Types" are also notorious for actively loathing the detailed nitty-gritty of reporting, bookkeeping, benchmarking and number crunching. Let alone investing and handling money...

Of course, there are exceptions.
One of the things I promised myself as an integral part of having a separate account purely for the LeoFinance community — which I approached doing as an "experiment" mostly — was that I would take it seriously and actually record and keep track of my progress.
Whereas this post is mostly for my own edification, the idea of creating a brief and simple "quarterly report" of sorts and committing it to the records of the blockchain will offer me a series of touchpoints to look back on from somewhere down the road.

"Down the Road..."
To be fair, I was also inspired earlier today when reading an older post from @spinvest where one of the more relatable things I read — with respect to their EDS subtoken — was that "Eddie's calendar goes out 50 years, with his plan projecting out that far."
50 years!
That's hard to conceive of, particularly in an industry where everything seems to move at lightning speed, and the infamous question "Wen Moon?" tends to often refer to the next 15 minutes.
OK... so that was an exaggeration, but I think you get my drift.
Anyway, in that particular context, I have always felt like an odd fish in the cryptosphere because I work on a long term horizon: Where will "this" be in 5 years; in 10 years; in 20 years?
The sands of time. Or, in this case, snow...
Long Term Staking
My investing objectives — even before there was such a thing as Bitcoin and the cryptosphere — was always to "pick a few projects of solid potential and get behind them for the long haul."
I liked LEO and LeoFinance because of the long term roadmap and ongoing development.
I liked the idea of being able to participate in a community around a broader set of topics I enjoy learning more about, and slowly building my "bag" as a consequence of doing so.
And that's what I plan to continue doing.

Contemplating my goals...
My goal at the beginning of the year was to reach 3,000 staked LEO by 2021 year-end, and that's perhaps still doable, but I need to be more active with posting!
The POB and CENT are somewhat "afterthoughts" because there seems to be a high degree of overlap between these communities/tokens and LeoFinance.
I like UTOPIS because it seems like an interesting experiment in "financial crowdfunding" with the gains coming back to the crowdfunders as dividends.
And that's about it, for this quarterly update.
Let's hope the Cryptosphere has a great 4th quarter!
