Dear Hivers/Leos,
I've always had a questions relating to blogging on Hive or maybe Leofinance (or other SCOT) platform regarding pageviews of posts.
As I recall, there had been a period of time maybe just before Hive was born so still under Steem name, that we actually had pageview numbers for every posts. I found it quite important, for me and for many authors that I heard similar opinions. But for some reason, this function was disabled without too much explanation and I have never seen it again so far.
One might argue that authors care about rewards not pageview numbers, but I tend to disagree. Yes, rewards are of utmost concern. I get that and I agree with that. However, most authors out there don't earn much at all, pageview number is another source that can provide then with satisfaction. There are even some authors, not many of course and not including me XD, caring more about pageviews, feedbacks and comments.
Anyway, it seems to me that pageview numbers shouldn't be that difficult to implement, why none of hive.blog, peakd.com
or leofinance.io incorporate this feature? Maybe it's actually not so easy!? (peakd.com has some related function but there is no numbers for each post)
Thank you for answering in advance.
