Heading back to Florida finally ☀️🌊🌴

Traveling is something that I enjoy doing and the beach is my favorite destination. I prefer to stay in Airbnbs over hotels most of the time. This used to be about saving money, but now it is more about having a unique and convenient place to stay. Airbnb makes all of that simple, even though it is not quite as cheap as I remember it being when I first started using it many years ago.

@flowerbaby and I loved our first visit to St. Augustine Beach last summer so much that we decided to go visit there again next month. She found us a nice spot right by the ocean and soon after I was looking to book the place. Now that I am living pretty much exclusively off of crypto, spending it is something I have to do regularly. I have my Crypto.com debit card that works well, but I prefer to not have to cash out into USD when possible and just pay for things with crypto directly.

I love using https://www.bitrefill.com/ to purchase gift cards. They offer Airbnb gift cards, which work out perfectly if you wish to travel and have a cool place to stay. I was able to purchase two gift cards that covered pretty much the exact cost of our 5-night getaway to Florida. It was so easy and I had the funds in a few minutes.

It is kind of crazy how many fees Airbnb listings tack on to the original nightly cost. Cleaning fee, service fee, and occupancy taxes. Luckily all of it was covered by the credits that I applied to my account with the gift cards from Bitrefill.

I used https://stealthex.io/ to convert my Hive to Bitcoin and then was able to purchase gift cards and will probably do so again in the future considering how well it all works.

We are pretty happy with this place. It is not the fanciest Airbnb listing, but it is plenty nice enough for us and suits our needs very well. The place is well decorated and looks clean, plus reviews are pretty much all positive. There is a pool, ground-level deck, gym, and much more around the property. The best part of all, we can easily walk right out onto the beach and enjoy the amazing east coast of Florida. We prefer this side of Florida since there are way more waves than there are over on the Gulf Coast.

I seriously cannot wait to finally be back at the beach with my girl. You can bet your top dollar that I will be sharing many stories about the awesome things that we experience there. We mostly are looking forward to spending time on the beach and getting in the ocean, but we both also love how gorgeous St. Augustine itself is. This historic town is a place we obviously both love quite a bit considering we are headed back again this year.
