This is simple, A warning at the first and second violation with an explanation of what is not right,
is quite sufficient.

People come from social media, where copying is just promoted and cult.
How would they know it's different here? After all, they were raised to copy, share, edit other people's stuff and pass it off as something new?
Technical Reminder
When I share a reel , a tiktolk, a picture in the social media, I automatically pull the source with it. This is nothing different than reblogging here.
For single videos or photos, it works here without automatically dragging the source.
Maybe you can add a mandatory field in the edit mask that asks for the source when an image or youtube is pasted? As a reminder?
Penalties:
This eternal pillory of public apology, does not go at all, really not. This is tantamount to self-denunciation in some countries and completely overshoots the goal of educating, improving, instructing, integrating.
One can be so hard in the matter. But one cannot be hunter, judge, executioner and amusing audience at the gallows at the same time.
Then deletion and temporary banishment is the right choice, not the pillory.
Hive police appearance.
Delete this name Hive-Gestapo from the server of Hivewatchers.
Here there are religion wars about cultural appropriation, political correctness, safespace, about religion, about satire.
But the paid community police call their janitor Hive-Gestapo?
Spaminator.
What is it supposed to do, what CAN it actually do except demotivate the new user?
Don't forget, most of the offenses of the newcomers are acquired behaviors of the conventional socmed and not actions of professional pirates.
Why should the newcomer, when he finally gets it right, have a sign attached to each of his correct actions that he has made a mistake?
Why does he have to have his name besmirched with every post for an offense that he realized, learned from, and no longer does?
Why is he being punished for posting correctly? For every post, for every comment? And his voters along with him?
Delete this spaminator. It is counterproductive if the goal is to post legally in a growing community.
Finally, a note about the tone of the community-paid hive police on this discord server.
Users come from all parts of the world and very often English is not the language they imbibed with their mother's milk or were taught by a good school system and private tutors.
So it seems to me that it makes sense as a "representative of the power of the hive" to act in an understanding way and to take these aspects into account.
The sometimes pretentious, arrogant tone that is spoken from above there is not a good advertisement for this platform in my opinion.
Unless this sentence from the janitor of the hive police describes the real goal:
Thanks for reading and please spread the word.
Social platforms grow not because of sophisticated technology, but because users feel welcome, comfortable and in good hands.
