One of the main reasons why people find it difficult to save is that they want to set a standard. I realize that when people start having money the need to set standards always matters. They want to show the world how rich they are, they want everybody to know that they now have higher buying power, and they want to be respected, They want to feel important, what most people forget is that when you buy something or you spend money, it is always likely that you spend more because anytime you’re trying to set a standard there is always something that you need to do and all this thing will require you to do more.
A good example is when you’re trying to set up your living room and you buy a new set of chairs, you will realize that the color doesn’t match, and you will paint your house, You also acknowledge that your TV is small and you need a bigger one, something we tell you that you change your refrigerator, Your washing machine has also worn out and you have to change it and so on. Another example is when you get a new shoe, you realize that you need a new pair of clothes that will go along with it, and this happens in every day of our life we tend to do more of the things we do often. It is a crazy cycle that we can help and instead, we should be able to make good use of it.
This can help your habit.
The same effect also happened to our habits. If you have a bad habit you can add more bad habits to it and apart from the fact that you will be influenced by your friends, there is a tendency that one bad habit will lead to another and a good example is, if you like going out at night just to hang out with your friends from there it will lead to you to not sleeping at home, quickly you realize that you are already getting late to work, You also realize that you’re already sleeping at work and so on. From one little bad to another they will all compound in your life but you can use this to your advantage. When you start a good habit you will make sure it leads to another good habit.
All of these things work together and you can use them to your advantage and it will help you in your journey of creating a good habit. An example is going to the gym, meditating, reading books, or going for a walk and soon you can simply add extra good habits to it and it will be easy this way and you can compound all of your good habits. A perfect example is going to the gym and you can also add cooking at home to it, This is a very easy way you can stack and also compound all your good habits. When we are trying to compound a good habit and a bad habit together it will be very difficult but compounding the more of the things we do would be easy.
