First let's briefly talk HIVE Web 3.0
With the HIVE web 3.0 decentralized blockchain, many of us already know the power of HIVE. We have 3 second transactions with no significant outages, a robust Dapp eco-system and a strong community of users, despite a majority of stake holders not even coming close to holding any significant Staked HIVE in comparison to the top 1% of HIVE Power holders for DPoS system in which, many will argue is what was holding HIVE back before the Upbit explosion. Hostile attacks on an ecosystem by a person or person(s) with a disproportional amount of Stake in comparison to others is the common argument.
A definition of DPoS
DPoS is the brain-child of Daniel Larimer, and is actually very different from PoS. In DPoS, token hodlers don’t vote on the validity of the blocks themselves, but vote to elect delegates to do the validation on their behalf. There are generally between 21–100 elected delegates in a DPoS system. The delegates are shuffled periodically and given an order to deliver their blocks in. Having few delegates allows them to organize themselves efficiently and create designated time slots for each delegate to publish their block. If delegates continually miss their blocks or publish invalid transactions, the stakers vote them out and replace them with a better delegate.
In DPoS, miners can collaborate to make blocks instead of competing like in PoW and PoS. By partially centralizing the creation of blocks, DPoS is able to run orders of magnitude faster than most other consensus algorithms.

- Some may argue that downvoting content is not a function intended for DPoS. Many more will argue that is the only thing holding HIVE back but there does seem to be a grey area where Witnesses are responsible for block production in a DPoS system. One could argue downvotes help protect our currency/rewards pool from selling pressure by low stake users or general spammers. However, a majority of downvotes on HIVE have been directed in a political manner in the past. This is being done by a very small group of hostile attackers. Some associated with the old steemcleaners account, an account profiting off other accounts destruction and some that just honestly seems aligned with pro-government bitcoin maximalist views. I already see less downvotes from these people as the community is starting to reject their downvotes and such downvotes only hamper these large stake holders from building projects or communities. Not to mention Selling HIVE off right now will surly mean to get HIVE back it will cost way more. So go ahead and sell...🤑.
Even with the drama centering around DPoS, the witnesses have done a great job maintaining nodes that are 1000x more reliable than Steem, the community has been so active while a robust eco-system of Functional DAPPS have been created, our second layer DEX works with functional Smart Contracts that have allowed for a thriving second layer with a whole diverse class of tokens and cross chain bridges for Coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Polygon. We have community driven proposals where DPoS works perfectly and so much more. Not to mention the most active and some may argue most successful blockchain NFT game on the Crypto space with @splinterlands.
Now let's talk Cardano/AMA
I have been very confused about Cardano and how it is so successful. Looking closer at Cardano, after learning from @someeofficial that they were planning on a interoperable future with Cardano and Steem.
Well, Somee had to punt. Steem's second layer, according to Somme is non-functional/broken and to complicate matters further Cardano, after almost 5 years, has no functional dapps or smart contracts not to mention it's claims that it is decentralized is a complete myth. It's development is spear headed by one person who is more concerned about passing the buck of his blockchain's failures to the U.S. Government.
So now here comes Somee with an AMA in September that highlights the team's division between Cardano and now mitigating to a successful blockchain that actually works and provides smart contracts that are functional with Hive-Engine. It seems Christopher Kramer, Somme's CEO really wanted Cardano and spent years building a team for Cardano just to be let down by his Cardano advisors, who seemingly just pump Cardano for no reason other than to protect their gains it seems.
Is that a @bitboycrypto that I see lingering in the background? Yup, sure is. That dude pumps Cardano for a living on youtube and twitter it seems. I will say though one time I randomly saw him go full Ham attacking @justinsunsteemit and describing the HIVE holders that he attacked as being some of his best friends. Continued on about not wanting talk about Tron. That was cool.
Luckily, Chris was seemingly smart enough to bring on Phillip Rumple, Chief Technology Officer for SoMee. He seems to be the one spear-heading Somme's development direction towards HIVE. Smart man.
Still, Somee's success will be solely because HIVE web 3.0 saved them not because of Cardano hype. Although the UNIswap action compared to Hive-engine with Somee might argue otherwise. People still just seem to throw money at stuff without doing their own research. Why pay $0.02 for Somee on UNIswap when you can get somee for fractions of a penny on Hive-Engine? Probably for the same reason Cardano is ranked the #6 Crypto with a market cap of $54,886,518,477.
Still here we have Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano ADA and the leader of the cryptocurrency project, taking credit for Somee... What the actual F? Well not exactly, but why Somee is still being listed as a part of the Cardano ecosystem leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Charles Hoskinson and Cardano has been pushing a blockchain that is still under construction and not decentralized while maintaining the #6 spot in the crypto space. HIVE Web 3.0 does everything Cardano wishes it could do and yet we are 130 spots behind Cardano while their Dapp projects come to HIVE? YUCK.
There is hope for Cardano past Charles Hoskinson scrambling to upgrade his network to be able to actually implement Dapps and smart contracts.

Ok, I can go further but let's talk about Interoperability and the future of Web 3.0.
Interoperability
Why does Web 3.0 need blockchain interoperability?
-Collaboration is the ability to view and access data across different blockchain systems. and is an essential part of the Web 3.0 development framework.
-In his 2019 article presented at the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems, Frank Golatowski’s Notes “Protocols like AION, Cosmos, Polkadot, ICON or Wanchain are developing state-of-the-art solutions for blockchain interoperability. Collaboration is the catalyst for broad commercial adoption through increased scalability and throughput.”
-In other words Interoperability is essential for many blockchain deployments.

The witnesses on Hive seem to understand this as we are starting to see collaborations with many other chains:
Hive does not see fellow decentralized blockchain-based initiatives as competitors but rather as colleagues. Only through working together with other like-minded trailblazers can we reach the summit.
