I still remember the day my internet connection went out for a week,I was in the middle of a critical project research online , and suddenly my internet was cut off from the my device and suddenly the world seem dark to me. No emails, no social media, or instant messenger and no search engine to answer my question. At first, I panicked. How would I get anything done? But as the days passed, something unexpected happened. I started to feel a sense of freedom, Without the constant ping of notifications and the endless stream of information, I was able to focus on my work offline like never before. I spent hours reading, writing,, and thinking without any distractions and also completed most of my lesson notes and test question for my students meeting up with submission deadline on my work place . It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I realized that I had been using the internet as a crutch, a way to avoid the hard work of thinking and creating.
But as the days turned into a week, I started to feel the negative effects of no internet, as I was also not unable to stay in touch with my friends and family and also access the hive blockchain I felt disconnected from the world and I was loosing on valuable updates on the goal as, couldn't access important information, and I know I was missing out on critical news and updates, to move my career and finance to the next level.
Having no access to the internet a blessing and curse! It just depends on the context or reason on is going of the internet, but thisanswer is subjected to the situation and reason on is going offline as it's not a simple one for someone how is already dependant on the internet for his/her daily activities. It also depends on the context and the individual. For me, the lack of internet can be a welcome break from the constant noise and distractions of the digital world. For others, it can be a source of frustration and isolation.
There are several benefits to having no access to the internet. For one, it can be a great way to reduce distractions and increase productivity. Without the constant ping of notifications and the endless stream of information, you can focus on your work and achieve more in less time. So to me , having no access to the internet a bit of both a blessing or a curse as prolong disconntion from the internet lead to loss of revenue from my online businesses . While it can be a great way to reduce distractions and increase productivity offline doing other jobs, it can also be a source of frustration and isolation especially when one's activity online is not been automated.
