Though my content creation has been limited as of late, I love supporting Hive and I tend to be working on projects in the background.
One of those such projects is @hiveincubator. Though I haven't posted from it in a while, it is always something I am thinking about. The purpose of that account is to put together information detailing different ways that having a Hive account can be valuable as well as working on little projects to test them. (@hiveincubator is a 50% benefactor of this post).
Much of my focus to this point has been community building, leveraging that community, and monetizing it through Hive. Leo Finance is a great example of a project that incubated within Hive and has created something that is valuable to people outside of the blogging platform. The flexibility to do things differently (like the ad revenue) makes it so valuable to showcase that success and get community leaders excited about what that could mean for them.
Leo Finance started off as an idea that gained excitement and a community. That community is now starting to reap the benefits. Excitement means increased value, increased value means increased excitement, usage, and engagement. What keeps that excitement going will be the next story that we will all learn from. I am very excited at the future of Hive, Leo Finance, and the different communities finding their way. I hope we can continue to learn from each other and grow.
I think we are so close to main-stream adoption (or the ability to start growing faster, at least) and I am excited to be part of it.
