The vast majority of users ignore or forget that #HIVE is a blockchain, where the content and action of each user is immutably recorded. In the current configuration, all the registered information is imminently public and is available for all uses and purposes.

We live in times of great technological changes, of new paradigms and concepts, these go much faster than the social capacity of humans to assimilate them. The vast majority of us use technologies that we do not understand, but those who do understand take advantage of it, and the ignorance of those who do not know.
As one of our collaborators, now not very active, @neocientiacu said in his post: [ES/EN] Influencia social basada en datos/ Data-driven Social influence:
....data is increasingly the most valuable currency, which generates influences and is a marketable good. More and more the generated data is analyzed to extract its value, in the context of a new scientific branch called BigData where machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) are the basis of a future increasingly in the present. In this environment, the immutable elements are the generated data, which are more important than the software that analyzes them, because the software is designed with variable purposes and technologies while the data are the same.
HIVE as an open data platform
#HIVE from its design is conceived as a social content blockchain, with incentives not only for the validating nodes of the blockchain known by witnesses but also for users to create new content and evaluate by their votes the contents published within an evaluation time window. This is why as many content creators as curators have an incentive, sometimes not negligible when it comes to interacting. Seen in another way the interaction with the contents and the creation of these has a social character.
No great knowledge is needed to access the data curated in #HIVE, very powerful tools have been created for users who have little or no programming knowledge, known in the geek argot as #nocoders. The code described above can be used to make a backup of everything done by an account, store it and then process it for whatever purpose you want. As the reader will be able to verify, #HIVE is an open data source, a gold mine for data analysts for the study of social interactions and their tokenized economies. Nothing escapes the eye, everything is absolutely public and accessible.
Many of the new users come to #HIVE because of their almost infinite kindness of unleashing creativity, having fun, adding value to their content, and giving free rein to their ideas, but they don't show anyone the hidden, dangerous side: what you do will be seen by everyone and can never be deleted.
Even so, there is a different vision that many of the creators of #HIVE I imagine defend: A system where we are all naked, where everything is visible, where it is very difficult to hide something, where no one can lie. It would seem like a science fiction novel from a utopian world, but wake up, if you are here reading you are already inside it: Congratulations 🎉
A little privacy is necessary for HIVE
While the social character of #HIVE is idyllic, it is not so idyllic when you take into account the economic part of the ecosystem. In the current state of the blockchain, it is not possible to hide balances and transfers, except when making bridging transactions as in https://wleo.io.
There are proposals that could at least partially add some privacy to the #HIVE economy, such as the one made by @disregardfiat Honeycomb - Improvements and Development #234 in which zero-knowledge proof or Zk could be implemented, at least partially in L2. It is complex to change the way transactions occur in #HIVE and it is a challenge to implement a solution that makes the balances visible only to the user who owns it and still faithfully validates the transfers. However, it would be one of the things that could definitely boost the adoption of #HIVE with much more use cases.
I believe that if #HIVE users are aware of the advantages of keeping token balances and transfer out of sight of the universe, a development proposal that includes these necessary functions would be supported and maintained by everyone through the DHF and other forms of support, the most fundamental being that of developers with their time, knowledge and effort. We will all thank you.

Vivimos en épocas de grandes cambios tecnológicos, de nuevos paradigmas y conceptos, estos van mucho más rápido que la capacidad social de los humanos de asimilarlos. La gran mayoría usamos tecnologías que no entendemos, pero los que si las entiendes se aprovechan de ella y de la ignorancia de los que no saben.
Como dijera uno de nuestros colaboradores, ahora poco activo, @neocientiacu en su post: [ES/EN] Influencia social basada en datos/ Data-driven Social influence:
....los datos son cada vez la divisa más valiosa, que genera influencias y son un bien comercializable. Cada vez más los datos generados son analizados para extraerle su valor, en el contexto de una nueva rama científica denominada BigData donde el aprendizaje automático (Machine Learning) y la inteligencia artificial (IA) son la base de un futuro cada vez más en el presente. En este entorno los elementos inmutables son los datos generados, los cuáles son más importantes que los software que los analizan, pues los software son diseñados con propósitos y tecnologías variables mientras los datos son los mismos.
HIVE como plataforma de datos abiertos
#HIVE desde su diseño está consebido como una blockchain de contenido social, con incentivos no solo para los nodos validadores de la blockchain conocidos por testigos, sino para los usuarios al crear nuevos contenidos y evaluar mediante sus votos los contenidos publicados dentro de una ventana de tiempo de evaluación. Es así que tantos creadores de contenido como curadores tienen un incentivo, a veces nada despreciable a la hora de interactuar. Visto de otro modo la interacción con los contenidos y la creación de estos tiene un caracter social.
No hace falta grandes conocimientos para acceder a los datos curados en #HIVE, se han creado herramientas muy potentes para los usuarios que tienen poco o nada conocimientos de programación, conocidos en el argor geek como #nocoders. Lo invitamos a que se dé una vuelta por el post: Accede a toda la blockchain de Hive sin ser desarrollador [ES-EN] por nuestro estimado colega @manuphotos, en este se muestra como se puede acceder a un costo mínimo a todos los datos contenidos en #HIVE, pero que también se pueden acceder sin necesidad de pagar nada desde otras herramientas como https://hive.ausbit.dev/ aunque con un poco más de trabajo.
Ya si posees conocimientos de programación, sobre todo en #python las cosas van a otro nivel, aún sin tener un PC potente los servicios en la nube te abren un infinito de posibilidades solo basta abrir Colab en Google: https://colab.research.google.com/, abrir un notebook y ejecutar el siguiente código y obtendrá mis 200 primeras operaciones (de todo tipo, datos incluidos):

Como podrá el lector comprobar, #HIVE es una fuente de datos abierta, una mina de oro para los analistas de datos para el estudio de las interacciones sociales y sus economías tokenizadas. Nada escapa de la mirada, todo es absolutamente público y accesible.
Muchos de los nuevos usuarios llegan a #HIVE por su casi infinita bondad de desatar la creatividad, divertirse, aportar valor a sus contenidos y dar rienda suelta a sus ideas, pero a nadie le muestran la cara oculta, la peligrosa: lo que hagas será visto por todos y nunca se podrá borrar.
Aún así hay una visión diferente que muchos de los creadores de #HIVE imagino defienden: Un acosistema donde todos estemos al desnudo, donde todo sea visible, donde sea muy difícil ocultar algo, donde nadie pueda mentir. Parecería una novela de ciencia ficción de un mundo utópico, pero despiete, si estás acá leyendo ya estás dentro de él: Felicidades 🎉 .
Un poco de privacidad es necesaria en HIVE
Si bien el carácter social de #HIVE es idílico, no lo es tanto cuando se tiene en cuenta la parte económica del ecosistema. En el estado actual de la blockchain no es posible ocultar los saldos y transferencias, salvo cuando se hacen transacciones puentes como en https://wleo.io.
Existen propuestas que podría añadir, al menos parcialmente un poco de privacidad a la economía de #HIVE, como la realizada por @disregardfiat Honeycomb - Improvements and Development #234 en la cual podría implementarse prueba de conocimiento cero o Zk, al menos parcialmente en L2. Resulta complejo cambiar el modo en que ocurren las transacciones en #HIVE y es un reto implementar una solución que haga los saldos visibles solo para el usuario que lo posee y aún así validar fielmente las transferencias. No obstante, sería una de las cosas que podría impulsar definitivamente la adopción de #HIVE con mucho más casos de uso.
Estimo que si los usuarios de #HIVE somos conscientes de las ventajas de mantener los saldos y transferencias de tokens fuera de la vista del universo, una propuesta de desarrollo que incluya estas necesarias funciones sería apoyada y mantenida por todos a través del DHF y otras formas de soporte, la más fundamental la de los desarrolladores con su tiempo, conocimiento y destresa.
