Uniswap is under attack by SEC. And there is likley to be an legal case and also there would be message sent to other swap sites and the mixers to comply. So only those who are hosted outside the US would be secure for few more years. And that means you have to find out other options for trading your assets through DeFi apps.
Considering the cards are falling and this castle is in trouble. I thought I should write a post here so that people would find it and switch to another swap platform. At the end I would also like to chime in on our own Leodex platform which may be of help to you if you have those assets in your portfolio that you wish to swap.
Let's talk about the Uniswap alternatives and which one would suite you in case of swapping the ethereum assets.
1inch : Multinetwork, Reliable and First option
Almost every coin in the portfolio of the uniswap is covered in the 1inch. So this is a natural choice for anyone who wishes to use this marketplace for swap. You may also find the reasonable ways to add your testnet option and also get to see if the swap for that token is available. You may find most of the game tokens play along nicely with their swap platform too. If Uniswap goes down, most likely you may notice that Trustwallet would use 1inch in their app too. You can check out the 1inch app here.
Quickswap: 2nd option, Polygon dominated Chain swap
Now the options go thinner and specific to the layer 2 tokens. And most of those tokens would be from the polygon. And another point to consider here is the fees. You would find the fees are very low too. It is not only just another swap platform but also an excahnge and also the automated money maker. So that is a good platform to explore and keep an eye on. I would recommend checking it out if you are having any polygon token or gaming token on polygon to swap for USDT etc. You can check out the quickswap here.
Sushiswap: 3rd option, Arbitrum based Chain swap
Like uniswap, here you would have the layer 1 swap platform. But it would also have the arbitrum chain option too so those tokens are listed there. And those who are trying to get the arbitrum and the layer 1 tokens swapped then this is a good option. And hopefully for those who are into the ethereum based games may also get to add the additional token address and explore those swap options too. It's a good swap marketplace worth exploring. You should check out the sushiswap here.
Pancakeswap: 4th option, Binance chain dominated swap platform
Those who are into the crypto for longer duration, I am sure you know about the pancakeswap. Its out since the binance chain days. It used to be popular for the binance token based DeFi pools and the yield plans. That still exists but a lot of things have changed for the binance chain over the years, mostly the pancakeswap has the swap type of traffic lately. So I thought it would be reasonable to share that here. You can check out the platform here.
What about Leodex? Metamask?
Let's talk about the leodex now. It's finally launched. You can access leodex here. Test out with small amounts and see if it works for you. Soon there would be more options for tokens. And there would likely be low fee chains like immutable, optimism and others if owners choose to add them into the dex. It'd be a pretty cool dex for those who have HIVE and LEO token to use it for swap. Try it and let us know in the comments.
There is another old option, which you can see it working these days even with the onramp money swap. You may find it download only or the browser add on only option that for the variety of browsers. As the metamask is moving in the direction of the centralized swaps and the marketplace, it'd be worth trying only when you touch fiat. But you are free to explore the metamask platform.
Uniswap platform is in trouble and it'd be reasonable to find the alternative, I have listed some good options for you to explore. Let's see if we get more options from wallets and the exchanges.
