I’ve been out of the loop for a long time, but funnily enough I’ve been hooked into the crypto market. Though my investment portfolio’s upward trajectory didn’t always keep going up, I can say the learning curve has been constant and hard earned.
So, I wanna keep sharing some of those insights here. After all, this is a crypto community where we’re all essentially investors in this blockchain tech, so this is the perfect place to spread ideas and fuel debate.
I’m no finance expert or anything like that. Still, ever since I was a kid, the economy’s been a hot topic in my circles. Because of that, my early grasp of economics leaned more toward political economy, something that’s served me well for fundamental analysis. At the same time though, I’ve drifted away from a hands-on, personal take on managing my own money, which I could’ve used in times of both scarcity and abundance.
While I still believe the political and economic are inextricably linked, I’ve come to see they don’t always wholly depend on or reflect each other. In a way, crypto can prove this idea in a practical sense because it can largely bypass local political friction.
So for me, it’s crucial nowadays that we all have a basic and practical grasp of financial education. This is a key tool for economic planning in our own backyard, which should lead to peace of mind and confidence. I think it’s important for all family members to at least understand how the family economy works, along with the regional and global economy.
Not that investing is an end in itself, but at minimum, I believe it’s important to know how serious money is made in certain investment niches. More importantly, we should at least know the best way to fund our current and mid- to long-term needs.
After all, writing is always a reflection and testament to a specific moment in our own story. So this could also mark how my thinking on these issues is evolving, while I look forward to bouncing ideas and discussing this stuff with my blockchain buds.
