Function Type:
Logical
Description:
OR function returns TRUE even if only one of its arguments are TRUE.
Any TRUE argument will result in TRUE.
Like AND function, this is most commonly used with IF function which also needs logical tests.
Logical test results in a TRUE or FALSE.
Logical tests utilize Logical Operators.
Then we can assign two different results for when it is TRUE and for FALSE.
Function Structure:
=OR(logical1, [logical2])
Argument Breakdown:
logical1 - This is the first condition or logical value to be evaluated. This is a boolean that results with either a TRUE or FALSE.
[logical2] - This is the additional condition or logical value to be evaluated. This is a boolean that results with either a TRUE or FALSE. We can have more than 2 conditions or logical test in this function. Square brackets [] means that it is optional so having only 1 logical test in your OR function will still make it work fine.
