My biggest achievement in 2023 and some projections for 2024
I think my 2023 has been a good year despite everything, although it is not over yet, I think it is a good time to review a little what I have achieved, the things I have done, and also start projecting 2024. When I stop to think about my 2023, I think it had highs and lows, smiles and sadness, successes and defeats, achievements and new challenges.
So before starting a kind of evaluation of the year, I must start with my favorite stoic phrase: "It could have been worse" Although I always say it, it should not be taken as a pessimistic phrase, but rather that it intends to evoke that things are as they are, and accepting them as they are allows us to understand them and improve based on what happens.
Now, before starting to spread myself I will focus my gaze on what I can consider my greatest achievements this year, the first thing that comes to mind is the memory of being in the main hall of the Andres Bello Catholic University, where I had the honor of presenting myself as a speaker and representing the Hive community at the country's most important Blockchain event, The Caracas Blockchain Week.
Although I feel that it has been one of my greatest achievements this year, it is not something that I can attribute all the credit to, but rather that after competing in a public vote via X (twitter) in which the Hive community supported me and it was won, and that is how I was able to present myself on the Main Stage of the event.
With all the humility that the story merits, I must say, I had the courage to venture and compete because it was the opportunity to show the world a little of my vision about the philosophy of web3, the philosophy of Hive. I don't usually feel too comfortable speaking in public, it was a real challenge.
I tried to give my best, and I must say publicly that it has been one of the greatest challenges I have faced in my journey through the paths of Hive and web3. Although it sounds utopian, Hive can make you fulfill your dreams. If I look back, back in the days of the pandemic when I was just starting to get to know Hive. If I saw myself as a speaker, talking about blockchain and philosophy at an international-scale event, my answer would have been a resounding no, I would have considered it impossible.
If you ask me, "define Hive in a non-technical but philosophical way" I would say:
Hive is a possibility that makes an endless number of possibilities possible.
It seems like a play on words, but if you think about it a little, it's a really interesting phrase with a lot of material to cut. So that was one of my greatest achievements of the year, there were others, but I don't want to make this post too long, let's leave it for later.
Some projections for 2024
In view of what I have just told you, I believe I can say that the experience that 2023 left me has had a turnaround based on an ideal or an energetic will to build. My goal now is to build and although I have many ideas flying around, I am creating protocols to discern the viability and sketch action plans based on real needs. It is of no use to build a boat if a desert future awaits, so to speak.

Mi mayor logro en el 2023 y algunas proyecciones para el 2024
Creo que el mi 2023 ha sido un buen año a pesar de todo, aunque aun no culmina creo que es buen momento para revisar un poco lo que he logrado, las cosas que he hecho, y también comenzar a proyectar el 2024. Cuando me detengo a pensar en mi 2023, creo que tuvo altos y bajos, sonrisas y tristezas, éxitos y derrotas, logros y nuevos retos.
Así que antes de comenzar una especie de evaluación del año, debo comenzar con mi frase estoica favorita: "Pudo haber sido peor" Aunque siempre lo ando diciendo, no debe tomarse como una frase de naturaleza pesimista, sino que pretende evocar que las cosas son como son, y aceptarlas tal cual nos permite comprenderlas y mejorar en función de lo que ocurre.
Ahora bien, antes de comenzar a comenzar de desperdigarme enfocaré mi mirada en lo que puedo considerar de mis mayores logros en el año, lo primero que viene a mi mente es el recuerdo de estar en el aula magna de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, donde tuve el honor de presentarme como speaker y representar a la comunidad de Hive en el evento Blockchain más importante del país, La Caracas Blockchain Week.
Aunque siento que ha sido de mis mayores logros este año, no es algo de lo que pueda adjudicarme todo el crédito, sino que tras concursar en una votación pública vía X (twitter) en la cual la comunidad de Hive me apoyó y se logró ganar, y fue de ese modo que pude presentarme el em Main Stage del evento.
Con toda la humildad que el relato amerita, debo decir, que tuve la valentía de aventurarme y concursar porque era la oportunidad de mostrar al mundo un poco de mi visión sobre la filosofía de web3, la filosofía de Hive. No suelo sentirme demasiado cómodo hablando en público, fue un verdadero reto.
Intenté dar lo mejor de mí, y debo decir públicamente que ha sido uno de los mayores retos que he afrontado en mi recorrer por los caminos de Hive y web3. Aunque suene utópico, Hive puede lograr que cumplas tus sueños. Si miro al pasado, por allá en tiempos de pandemia cuando apenas comenzaba a conocer Hive. Si me veía siendo ponente, hablando de blockchain y filosofía en un evento de talla internacional, mi respuesta hubiese sido un rotundo no, lo hubiese contemplado como imposible.
Sí me dicen, "define a Hive de una manera no técnica pero de forma filosófica" diría:
Hive es una posibilidad que posibilita un sin fin de posibilidades.
Parece un juego de palabras, pero si lo piensas un poco, es una frase realmente interesante y con mucha tela que cortar. Así que ese fue de mis mayores logros del año, hubo otros, pero no quiero hacer esta publicación demasiado larga, dejémoslo para luego.
Algunas proyecciones para el 2024
En función de lo que les acabo de contar, creo que puedo decir que la experiencia que el 2023 me dejó, ha tenido un vuelco en función de un ideal o una voluntad enérgica por construir. Mi objetivo ahora es edificar y aunque tengo muchas ideas revoloteando, estoy creando protocolos para discernir la viabilidad y esbozar planes de acción apegados a necesidades reales. De nada sirve construir un bote si acontece un porvenir desértico, por decirlo de algún modo.
