PART 1
Before I move on to the niches of the industry. I would like to talk a little about Hive's NFT marketplace. I spent almost 2 weeks looking into it and researching because I really have a few magical things to share, however after I was actually done with the research. I was thinking to myself and I kept pondering if I should actually mention the things that I wanted to say.
I'm quite new to the Hive and I also noticed that it is has somewhat of a cult like following. Nothing bad about that, this is what it requires to make it a success, but like all religion, you can't say anything bad or you'll (in this case me) would probably be thrown out as an outcast.
Thus I hope that some in the hive would take it lightly, and it is with this reason that I would not display the number but just my opinion and probably some advice. Hey, who knows, i could be wrong. So, lets get started.
Honestly, I'm going to keep @monstermarket and @NFTMart out they're doing pretty well considering its the primary place for @Splinterland, @Dcity and the list goes on. The only way for them to go is up up up!
Source just like my friend @stayten always says hahaha
@Lensy, at first glance. I thought that it was a fantastic Idea. But somehow, it never really took off. When i spoke to the operator, it was when i realized, why it was so.
@NFTShowroom, now the Hive is starting to get a little serious. I mean, when I visited the marketplace. Its filled with all kinds of art that I never thought would be interesting. To be honest, even if you visit places like open sea, you would not find that many quality art in one page even. However, its numbers just a teeny weeny small fraction of opensea's.
I actually kept the best for last. I actually discovered @hivelist because someone gave me some @hustler coins. I visited the place and found @thelogicaldude. Although his site is just about ready - meaning, not even ready. His numbers is already comparable with some of the better ones above. And it is no accident because @thelogicaldude knows that the market wants and he built an ecosystem, this is solely my opinion, unchallenged on the chain.
So why hasn't the hive's NFT Marketplaces able to outshine others on other chains out there. Now Hivers please forgive me, I really love all of you. but please do let me speak my mind. If you know me well, I'm no ssssshole, and I'm as loyal as a samurai. But we all need to face the facts. So here it goes, its always the same problem when communicating between a civil engineer and an architect, a doctor and a hospital management. Both are right in their opinion. but what is the missing sauce that could propel Hive's NFT Marketplace to the next level?
The keyword here is THE GENERAL PUBLIC! and if you put it in numbers THE GENERAL PUBLIC consist of 80% sheepness, which includes the ultra rich, the old money, the tech money. Why do they spend on something that looks like it came from a video game from the 80s? Simple! They are competing to show other ultra rich how much wealth they can spend. In this case throw away, I mean - instead of contributing that much to solve world hunger or world poverty - which most of them pretend to have interest in. They'd rather spend it on punks, it give it value.
I give you another example, if one guy buys 1% of your company for 1 million US dollars. How much then is your company valuation? you get my point?
But you see, most people on the Hive. I did not say there aren't any rich dude here. I'm say MOST, which means 80/20 ok! Most come from difficult backgrounds or they are engineers. To be dead honest, we are one of the most humble people out there on planet Crypto. You see, humble and ultra stupid fking rich who spends money like Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark just don't mix well. They pay because its easy. Would they bother to learn the ecosystem? most likely they got too many contracts to think about. Learn from the likes of @Splinterland, why were they so successful? here's another keyword. ACCESSIBILITY! Look at Solana, it got hacked and whacked coz they don't have what we have, BUT they got ULTRON on their SIDE!!!!
