The Leoverse is growing and expanding and every participant here needs to grow with it. Big thanks to the dev team, lots and lots of updates are added to the new alpha UI, getting it ready for the adoption campaign which kicks off on in 5 days time - 3oth April. A significant way to grow and increase your influence in the ecosystem is to increase your Leo stakes - or power up more Leo regularly.
I made a tutorial yesterday to demonstrate how a user can swap their layer 2 tokens for Leo using LeoDex. You should not miss out the guide. Take a look right here. In the presentation today, I want to quickly demonstrate another exchange one can use to Swap layer two tokens to Leo and power up. Its really great that we have many options. In the event that LeoDex somehow did not give you everything you want (for example no liquidity of a specific token), you can look elsewhere - BeeSwap.
BeeSwap - a quick Intro
BeeSwap is one of the Layer two exchange platforms that you could quickly use to swap your tokens quickly. I remark the word quickly and its something that drew me to BeeSwap because all their threads are instant swap - provided there is available liquidity for the pair you wish to Swap.
Once you have your account active key, you are really set to start swapping tokens as fast as you want them. So now, I will demonstrate how you could swap tokens for Leo, and power up. That is the main target.
Swapping through BeeSwap
Note 1: I assume you already have Hive keychain app. If you dont, get it installed into your device from PlayStore.
Note 2: The token I will use to demonstrate these steps is CINE. It is the same procedure for any other token pairs you wish to swap. We will use CINE to buy swap.hive, then Swap.hive for Leo.
We start the process from the very first step:
Step 1: Open your Hive Keychain app. go to the browser and log on this address: https://beeswap.dcity.io/swap
Step 2: Click on Login as shown below. In the new window, enter your username in the box provided and click Login with Keychain. If there is a prompt, click confirm to complete the sign in process. (Check Image below)
This is where the actual swapping happens, so pay close attention. Check the Image below, and then follow up the instructions from Step 3 after the image
Step 3: Click on the arrow labelled A above (I have typed and selected CINE). From the tokens listed, select the one you wish to swap from.
Step 4 Click on the arrow labelled B above (I have typed and selected SWAP.HIVE). From the tokens listed, select the one you wish to swap to.
Step 5: Type the quantity of the token you wish to swap in the box pointed by arrow C. In this case, I typed 390. So I am swapping 390 CINE to SWAP.HIVE
Step 6: Finally, I will click the Swap button pointed by arrow D.
The system will prompt you to confirm the transation. Once you click the confirm button. the Swap is completed within seconds.
Congratulations, you have completed a Swap. In my example, we swapped CINE to SWAP.HIVE
Swapping swap.hive to Leo
Now that we have swapped our CINE to swap.hive, the next thing is to swap the swap.hive to Leo after which we will power up the Leo.
Swapping the Swap.hive to Leo is essentially the same steps above, so no need repeating them. When you get to Step 3, type and select SWAP.HIVE. Then in Step for, you type and select LEO. The rest of the steps remain the same. Complete them and you would have successfully swapped the swap.hive to Leo. Next is to power up
Powering up the Leo
You can power up from the Hive keychain at once. Its very easy too. So to power up the Leo, go back to your wallet under the tokens tab.
Click on + button inside the Leo token box. When the new window opens, click Stake. (Check Image below)
Enter the quantity of Leo you wish to power up in the box provided and then click Stake to finish up the process. Congratulations, this is the very last step
Using the method demonstrated above, you should be able to to swap your L2 tokens to Swap.hive and then to Leo. It will help your Leo account grow faster and increase your influence in the Leoverse.
