I'm using the regular Leofinance interface today to write my post because I'm too dependent on the saved drafts to risk writing it on the new UI until it will have this option added too.
Yay, a new LPUD! Happy LPUD everyone!
I've just powered up all my liquid LEO, almost 280 of them.
Before I move on to the best part of this post, I'll add again my link to Crew3's Leofinance community, if you have at least 1000 LEO Power and want to check it out. If you like gamification and competitions, you should love this. Here it is:

Feedback on the New Threads UI
There were a couple of things I noticed from the first minutes of trying out the new UI, yesterday, which I love.
I already mentioned them in #threads yesterday. Here they are:
They are not the only things I love about the new #threads, but I want to get to the part where we give #feedback based on our usage of the platform in this early open alpha stage.
1. Several people reported they can't access the new UI
I don't know if this is due to confusion and the expectation to have the new UI on the main website or if they really had issues accessing the alpha version of the UI, but I thought I should mention it once again.
I'll also put the link to the new UI here once again, to make it clear it is distinct from the main website.
The link for the new UI is: alpha.leofinance.io
And remember, alpha means errors and rapid updates can happen all the time. If an update happens, you will be logged out and need to log back in. Hunting errors and fixing them is the purpose of alpha.
2. The new UI has Issues with Compounded Usernames
I've tested with a username containing a dot. Can't reply to it. I've learned about the issue from @taskmaster4450 who wanted to reply to @jimmy.adames using the new UI.
The compound usernames are not highlighted correctly either. For example, on @ jimmy.adames only "jimmy" is highlighted, not ".adames".
I heard the same issue extends to dashes, but haven't tested that.
3. Firefox-specific Voting Issue
I wrote this thread explaining the problem. At the time I didn't know it was specific to Firefox, but I tested it in Brave on Windows too, and it worked.
4. HTML Tags Are Totally Filtered Out in the New UI
I don't know if this is temporary and will be activated later or if this is a final decision.
For most common options, there are markdown equivalents that work on Hive.
But there are some things that cannot be done with the version of markdown Hive supports, and normally HTML tags are used for that.
For example, writing in two columns.
Or, more commonly, using superscripts and subscripts.
That's it for today, but I'm sure others will come up too. That's why alpha is for!
