On the 1st of every month I check the situation of all my crypto holdings on all chains and wallets. Quite a lengthy process...
Today, on one of the chains where I have some small holdings I decided to make some movements, which I did... What I didn't account for were the transaction fees that kept eroding on my liquid gas tokens until I had less than the minimum necessary to make even 1 transaction. Oops! And despite its popularity, it's not even a highly connected chain, so I'm still in the process of moving stuff around to get some gas over there for at least 1 transaction, so I can unlock more of it from a derivative. Sounds complicated? Yep, it is!
In moments like this we should be very happy, even grateful, that we have something like Hive. No fees (or rechargeable gas) is definitely different than low fees!
Back to Hive then... Yesterday I thought I was smart. I was thinking: "Hey, let's buy some HIVE now, because tomorrow it will be higher thanks to the people buying for HPUD.". It sounded like a good plan, HIVE usually bumps on HPUD, so why buy higher when you could buy cheaper?
Oh well, that didn't turn out quite like that because the crypto market decided to start "Up"tober with a "down". 🤣
But that's fine... That means slightly more time to accumulate. I emphasize slightly, because I believe this is a temporary situation where price drops were fueled by the liquidations of a significant amount of over-leveraged positions.
Today, I also received this HiveBuzz notification on my post from yesterday:
I don't often receive them because I rarely powered up my posting account recently. I generally and regularly power up my staking account, even if these days with a small amount.
But today, I decided to power up the remaining liquid HIVE from my posting account, at least until later in the bull market, when I'll do the reverse, and take advantage of our beautiful stable coin.
It's not the first time I powered up my liquid HIVE from my posting account recently either, but it's the first time when that concurs with HPUD.
Happy Hive Power Up Day!
