If you have been told that you have to go soft and play safe when it comes to the game of money, and you follow this advice, then you need no one to tell you why you are still at the same position you are currently. You cannot be successful financially by playing it safe or playing it soft. If you are going to be financially successful, you need take some bold, decisive, and brutal decision and moves.
I have always mentioned in my post that making money shouldn't be the goal, it should be the reward of what you do. Do not chase money for the sake of making money because if you do, you will not make money. This statement might be counter intuitive since the goal of becoming wealthy is to make money but this isn't it. When you gamble, you are looking to make money for the sake of money.
The reality is that wealth building journey isn't an easy one at all because it is filled with challenges, pain, frustration and setback at most step and these things can cause a lot of people to give up not because they do not want to continue pushing, but because their push is based on money and it is money driven instead of solution solving, purpose, and goal meeting.
When the push is money, every challenge that doesn't come with money or makes money stops will be seen as overwhelming, challenging, and problematic. Why are you doing what you are doing is the reason why you will either keep pushing or stop. If you are doing for the money, there is a high chance you are going to stop very fast but if you are doing for a purpose which includes building a legacy, or revolutionizing the world. What ever you are doing, you need to understand the why you are doing what you are doing.
Money is a game, playing it right is the appropriate thing to do. First you need to understand the game of money by understanding the rules and strategy so as to be able to dominate or you will end up struggling. Just like any brain taking game, it is not about pushing all your cards out at once, it is about move planning, proper thinking, and execution. This is why the best players win because they understand the strategy of the game and they know how to play it properly. To make money, it is not about working endless hours because if you do you might not end up with good result, it is about playing the game right.
When you play the money game, be willing to accept small losses for big wins. Although losing is not fun, you need to accept and learn from it because every time you lose, you learn from it and work towards getting better at it. If you are playing not to lose, then you are certainly not winning because winners will play with the intention that they might lose and they want to learn from their loss. Even if they have to make minor losses they ensure they do not lose their direction and they make major moves.
