HBD Interest Payments For February 2024 | 125K+

February 2024 may have been one of the best months for bitcoin and crypto, if not the best. Just one fact that bitcoin gained $20k in price and created the highest monthly candlestick on charts is impressive and is an important milestone. March is going to be very interesting. Especially because everybody is waiting for the halving event that is going to happen in April. Main focus for in crypto and finance world has been bitcoin's price action. I personally didn't expect to see bitcoin reaching previous all time high and making new ones until later this year, and definitely after halving. The way bitcoin's price has been moving it may make new all time high this month, if not this week.

With all the excitement around bitcoin, we have also seen price increases in altcoins as well. We are not quite in alt season yet, but it was welcome to see Eth gaining interest and moving up higher. Even long forgotten coins like LTC and BCH had awesome movement. Out Hive woke up as well and increased in price too. Times like this remind us that blockchain, crypto and decentralized systems are don't have stablecoins as primary goal or focus. But rather layer 1 coins are the main focus and success of these coins is what we really want. Of course it is great to have stalbe low risk 20% APR on monthly basis, compared to everything else available in traditional finance. But there are much better long term investment instruments like bitcoin and hive that has potential of double, going 5x, 10x, etc. Or even potentially going 100x in Hives case. I do really like 20% HBD APR, but not as a primary investment. I believe is better to have multiple options, and utilizing as many as we can.

We are in March 2024. This marks 3 years since Hive blockchain witnesses started signaling HBD interest APRs. What a great journey. Along the way many changes were made that made it possible for HBD to behave in a stable manner just like it was intended. HBD is still worth $1 USD. Yes, there are minor movements slightly above or slightly below $1. That is the case with anything that is traded in open markets. We are in crypto bull market and it is probably to have positions in the decentralized coins that have potential to go much higher and don't limitations like stablecoins. But there will come a time when people start deciding if it is time for profit taking. Those are the time where HBD can be of great use. Because not only, it enables crypto enthusiasts to convert crypto into more fiat like asset, but also allows to earn decent APR while deciding next investment opportunities.

Let's look at the numbers how monthly total HBD payments and total recepients have been changing for the last three years.

The total amount for February is a little higher than January's total payment amount. However it is not the highest. We have seen total interest payments around 127K+ in the last few months of the last year. There isn't a huge change here. Still impressive numbers.
