Last week in my tune post I hosted my first ever giveaway! There were five questions sprinkled throughout, and I asked folks to answer one (or more) in the comments section. Today, I will pick three answers that really stood out to me, and send a share of HBI out to their author 😁
It was a hard toss up, but I'll have to select the only three people who answered a question as the winners! 😂 I received some other wonderful comments, but only three entries.
@inthenow and I bonded on being bad kids, and hoping our children don't take (too much) after us. @ifarmgirl shared her experience with the wisdom that father's gift us. And @killerwot... wow.

I've been here on Hive for two months now, and so far 100% of my earnings have gone back into my account. I have diversified with an additional 100 Hive (50 USD) investment into Tokens, as I spoke about doing last month. Here are my top five holdings as of today 😁

LOH tokens are meaningful to me, because when two cool ladies ask you to hold their token, you wait to see what they are going to do! You support them. That's what LOH community is all about, and I will be HOLDin my Lady for a long time 😁💃💕
I feel the other three are self-explanatory. Paper in my pocket and The Alliance/ Pimps do a lot of cool stuff to make Hive amazing! Pizza grows in a fun way, as you trade slices with friends. And we are thriving proof of brain here 💚 You folks make me want to dance! Let's check some music out!
Shakey Graves- Roll the Bones
I adore the fresh folk vibe of Shakey Graves, and I love this video in particular. The song has a wonderful message of FREEDOM in making your own odds- Let's Roll the Bones!
The man is playing TWO instruments WHILE singing. 😍 I celebrate his music, the talent here is simply unreal!
The last thing I like about this video, is that he doesn't talk for two minutes before he starts. That's the price you pay to enjoy his music usually. 100% wouldn't want to meet him.
I took the image here before sending out my HBI, so I actually have 150 liquid Hive.
The sale of tokens that I am not currently focusing on added 9.28 Hive to this total- a wonderful profit from one month of dual token earning! That's almost enough for the HPUD bee badge all by itself! I am excited to see where my investments take me in the coming months 😁
The Misfits during the era of Glen Danzig are one of my all-time favorite listens. As anyone who has encountered my music picks thus far knows- I'm a punk. Through and through. However, my taste in music is truly eclectic. There is very little music I outright despise, each genre has gems!
I'm also a HUGE fan of the music Elvis made. He is one of my go to sounds to swing along to as I clean my house, or vibe with as I cook something tasty for the Fam.
When I found out that Danzig had made an ENTIRE Elvis cover album, I had stars in my eyes!
The backstory to this song is a bit confusing:
"Lonely Blue Boy" (originally entitled "Danny" and sung by Elvis Presley) is a song written by Ben Weisman and Fred Wise and performed by Conway TwittyThat excert borrowed from Wikipedia explains that Elvis did indeed preform a song that Danzig could be covering here. However, he chooses the more well-known and deserving "Lonely Blue Boy" title for his Elvis cover album.
I think this is a great tribute to both of the famous versions of this song! Most of the Elvis songs Danzig chooses on the album are somber tunes...I suppose Elvis wrote quite a few of those. I would LOVE to hear Danzig's take on something like Heartbreak Hotel though...
Last month, I set a goal to double my HP of 249 (As of Oct 1st) by December HPUD. Once again, I will be meeting my goal early! It's time to set a more aggressive goal this month I guess 😎😁😍
This group did a lovely tiny desk concert, where I found this gem of a song. At the beginning she invites everyone to sing along. After she finishes singing, she says "The goal of this song is to feel embarrassed, so if you felt embarrassed singing along, thank you!"
This song is what I sing to my 1yr old son when he is cranky. The first time I played it he was transfixed, and I began to sing along. He got so happy! It's been one of our jams ever since.
It felt right to wrap up my marriage of HPUD and #ttt with this banger... In my time here, I've shared a lot of aspects of my life that I don't talk about much. I've felt vulnerable and embarrassed as I've offered my fiction stories out to the community. Like so many of us are, I'm self-critical. As I share who I am, I begin to feel a bit naked. I start to assume what other people might think of me.
Are you guilty of this too? If so, let me tell you a secret. No one even notices these things that we think so much about. People, in general, tend to be too wrapped up in their own world, to sit there and critique yours. Do the thing, be who you are 💚
