I know that I am a bit late in posting about my consensus/views around the vote on the first polycub governance vote that was tied to Reduce the Locked Claim "Power Down" Window. But rest assured, I was not late in voting and picked my option at the right time to go for reducing the lock down claim window to be set to 30 days as opposed to the current 90 days window.
My Current stake in xPolyCUB
So, far I have managed to reach the top 20th position in the xPolyCUB rich list. Which accounts to 0.812% pool share with 1500+ xPolyCUB staked. I would say that its a decent share and I wanted to make the best use of this First Governance Vote opportunity to put forth my thoughts and vote for the option I felt would be good.
Its always good to have this kind of flexibility, where people are given the authority/power to run systems or make changes to it as they would like it to be running and finally the decision is based upon the highest number of votes gained for an option. So altogether its like a Win-Win situation people have more stake in the system are likely in a driving seat to run it in a manner they feel would be right overall.
Voted for Option 2 - lockdown to 30 days
I opted for the second option, where the lockdown period reduces to 30 days. I feel locking period of 90 days is way too far and could be the main reason that we don't see major whales investing into the PolyCUB defi system. Looking at the results, I see that the lockdown period would now be adjusted to 30 days and that is going to be a big relief for all investors looking forward to invest into PolyCUB.
Another thing is that we would be having more governance voting happening that could tied to APRs, new pool addition etc. and the major stake you have in xPolyCUB the better are the chances of driving that vote that you plan to choose in your favor. I feel that governance model of running systems are an absolute right way of running defi systems; giving control in the hands of the users who have stake in it.. I really liked to be the part of the PolyCUB First Governance Vote & it gave me a sense of achievement that my vote would also count in some or the other manner in making changes to the systems as I feel that it would be good for it overall...
