Recently the Splinterlands team made an announcement around the new game Splinterlands Tower Defense aka SPLTD that would be introduced in near future. The gameplay, its mechanics and everything you need to know about the Towers Defense can be checked Here. This game also involves cards pack sale i.e. Pre and Post sale. Total pack sale for the first edition is 2 Mil. Packs; where each packs is sold for $8. Players can leverage their CREDITS, DEC to buy packs. Leveraging VOUCHER tokens entitles players to get discounts and this would bring down the pack sale price to $5; giving a discount of $3 per card pack purchased with VOUCHER.
The cost per pack will be $8. Players can purchase packs using credits or DEC and can receive discounts using Vouchers. Each pack purchased with a VOUCHER will reduce the price of a pack by $3.
Pre Pack Sale
The pre-sale will be limited to 250,000 packs and is planned to start on September 20, 2022. Pre Pack Sale requires VOUCHER tokens i.e. its mandatory to have equal amount of VOUCHER tokens to buy the SPLTD packs. Say for example you plan to buy 100 SPLTD packs then you need 100 VOUCHER tokens and each pack would cost you $5 and therefore the total cost for 100 packs would be $500 plus the price associated to 100 VOUCHER tokens.
Riftwatchers Set PreSale
Lets look into Riftwatchers Set PreSale details before I get into explaining my plan and strategy. There is always a limited amount of cash at our dispersal and we need to make the best use of it. How you make the best use of your cash depends on your priorities and how you see things from yours and others perspectives and then you take your final call of investing the money or not.
Please note that VOUCHER token is again a pre-requisite here to buy Rifwatchers set. SPS can only be used to by the sets and all the SPS received for the cards pack sale goes to SPS DAO. There are also Bonus packs given out if buying packs in bulk of 100+ 10% bonus packs, 500+ 15% bonus packs and 2000+ 20% bonus packs.
Lets take an example; if you plan to buy 500 Rifwatchers set. Then you need to have 500 VOUCHER tokens first. And at current price 1 VOUCHER tokens equals 1.7+ HIVE and therefore 500 VOUCHER would equate to 874+ HIVE and in dollar terms this would be $450+
With all the recent news around Splinterlands Tower Defense - SPLTD - Riftwatchers Set - VOUCHER token has taken all the lime light i.e. players get discounts using VOUOCHER tokens and VOUCHER token being mandatory to buy packs. All this has resulted in the price of VOUCHER token to surge and currently it is trading 20+% up and I expect it to further rise as we approach the SPLTD and Rifwatchers pack sale. So now the question arises - what should we do with the limited cash we have in our hands. Buy Tower Defense, Riftwatchers Set Or Chaos Legion Packs?
My Strategy SPLTD, Riftwatchers Set Or Chaos Legion?
So far I have bought 1250 Chaos Legion card packs. And currently all my cards are rented out. Which is giving me a decent rental income in the form of DEC tokens daily. I am getting close to 12 to 15K+ DEC tokens daily via renting out my cards leveraging Splex card rental service.
To be honest, I had been accumulating all my DEC thus far to buy CL packs but now with the release dates of Riftwaters and SPLTD, I got bit confused and thought of changing my strategy a bit. The current state of my DEC is close to 300K+ DECs and at the same time I have close to 400+ VOUCHER tokens added to the SWAP.HIVE-VOUCHER pool.
I somewhat sensed it that this is gonna come, where VOUCHER tokens would become more valuable. So had been putting all my daily VOUCHER token rewards via the SPS staked to the liquidity pool and at the same time was earning sweet APRs above 70% giving me SPS and that too was directed back to further staking SPS. Here is my current state of SPS staked which is closing 160K+ mark soon
We all know the power of SPS token; which is the governance token for the game Splinterlands. And everything will revolve around SPS, its DAO, governance, buying assets and more utility to come in near future. So I was thinking why not use all the money that I have been accumulating thus far i.e. 320K+ DEC, SWAP.HIVE-VOUCHER pool $700+ and further daily rental income along with daily VOUCHER rewards [SPS staked, plus License node rewards] and convert them all for SPS.
If I sum up all the income stream it would be somewhere around $1500+.. This income isn't going to get me 500+ packs that I at least tend to target for SPLTD or Riftwatchers set. Therefore, I am either left to buying 100+ packs or make a wise decision to swap all the $1500+ for SPS, which at current price will get me around 24K+ SPS and I stake it all and finally come further close to my target of having 200K+ of SPS staked... I am still thinking about this strategy and who knowns one day, I finally execute my strategy and get all that cheap SPS in my wallet safely and earn APR of above 35%+ for staking it...
