How many crypto wallet do you have outside of Hive? I bet most of us have more than one.
In my case, I have quite a few. Two for DeFi, another wallet that I haven't touched for a long time (I call it the HODL wallet), a BitcoinCom wallet solely for BCH, a spending wallet (CoinsPH) and those on several crypto exchanges which are intended mostly for trading and to take advantage of the opportunities offered on those CEX.
Yep, they're all over the place that, except for those in Binance, I haven't touched nor opened most of them for a while since the start of the bear season. Not that those on exchanges are huge though, most are just a few hundred dollars but may be worth more when the bull market happens. Of course we know that keeping our cryptocurrencies where we don't own the keys is never a good idea.
Many months ago (or was it last year), I was scolding myself to do my own housekeeping - collect those on the CEX and have them in just one or two places. But life happens and I have not been able to do so. I guess one reason is that I can't really decide where to hold them.
Anyway, earlier today I suddenly had a dilemma which prompted me to ask these questions...
Is it better to keep all our crypto assets in one wallet?
Or is it safer to have them in different places?
How are you keeping yours? I understand it may depend on one's portfolio size but I would love and appreciate to read your thoughts via the comment box below.
Thank you and have a fantastic weekend!
