It's been several weeks since the APRs on the Polycub have dropped to super lows which obviously wasn't enticing to investors. This resulted to low MTB revenues which of course meant, less buybacks of $POLYCUB by the Protocol Owned Liquidity (PoL) and in turn less POLYCUB being locked long-term in the vexPOLYCUB vault or perhaps none at all?
The significant drop in yields (as seen on the above screen capture) prompted some (including me) to stop adding liquidity and moving to CubFinance instead where the farming APYs are a few times higher.
Hence, the third PolyCUB Improvement Proposal (PIP3) was initiated for xPolycub and vexPolycub stakeholders to vote on. PIP 3 being referred to as "Adapt" has the following options:
Stop Inflation Halvening (Static POLYCUB per Block)
If my understanding is correct, this may ease the drop in the farming yields.Continue Inflation Halvening
This will mean decreasing APRs on the farming pools.Abstain from This Proposal
Of course you want to have your say and won't choose this :)
NOTE: Voting closes on 26th October @ 10 AM CST as stated on the PIP documentation, although on the governance page, it stated 27th October.
Accordingly, the purpose of PIP 3 is to bring back PolyCUB to a more sustainable level and we hope it does. The good thing is that the team behind this project is willing to work together with its stakeholders to come up with solutions to current situations.
I have done my part even though my xPolyCUB and vexPolyCUB holdings are small.
I believe we all want the best for PolyCUB so it's time to come together and aid in making it become a sustainable, reliable and growing yield platform just as the founders envisioned it to be.
Because we want one, right? Somewhere we can invest some of our assets and gain sustainable ROIs without the constant worry of whether it will there the next day or not. And how great it would be if such a DeFi platform resides in the LeoVerse which is generally good for Hive because it adds more outlet or market for onchain assets like HIVE, HBD, LEO and SPS.
