DappRadar has had a lot of updates since I last explored it sometime last year. On my recent visit, I found out that it has more features added and one that caught my attention was the Quests page under the Rewards menu. It was introduced and went live in the middle of November last year.
Let's explore further what it is.

DappRadar Quests Hub
According to information from the site blog, it is the first gamification product, the aim of which is to enhance DApp discovery and reward participation. Everybody with a DappRadar account and a connected crypto wallet can participate in Quests, although some are exclusive to DappRadar PRO members."¹
With Quests, we create a streamlined experience for anybody to discover or market a dapp. Quests allow DApp developers to attract a targeted audience, while Web3 explorers can discover and engage with new and existing products (while earning XP and rewards). All aligned and incentivized through a powerful reward system.²
As the name suggests, the page contains campaigns by different projects in various chains (Ethereum, Polygon, and BNB Chain), from decentralized finance (DeFi) to gaming, Metaverse, social, and events. Users can filter them based on their subject of interest - product category and the type of rewards. Some quests require a certain user level (based on XP) and others are only available to DappRadar PRO members.³

The quests are as simple as following an X account, liking or reposting a post, visiting a website, and others. Some campaigns involve minting an NFT. Others, especially those with larger rewards require staking tokens like RADAR.
As users complete quests, they accumulate XP (experience points) allowing them to level up and help them develop a reputation or an identity (both on-chain and off-chain), based on their area of interest. Accordingly, new features can be unlocked depending on the user's level.⁴
How to Participate in a Quest
There are a few simple steps to do before one can start completing quests:
1️⃣ Go to DappRadar and choose the option you want to create an account. You can either connect using the supported wallets or with an email. You will be required to sign a message if you're using the wallet option.

2️⃣ Complete your profile (link your X account, add an email address, and set an account password). You will earn 100 XP after completing this task and you level up to 2.
3️⃣ Congratulations, you can now start participating in the available quests and continue to level up.
Some actions are auto-verified, and you don't need to do any further clicking to confirm that you have finished the action so it's a time-saver. Other sites like Galxe require a certain amount of time before one can verify.
How to Create a Quest (For projects)
During the launch period, they required those who want to create quests to fill up a Google Form. It asks for the project's social media accounts (X, Telegram, Discord), Website, Quest title, description (short and long), quest category, and other information related to the campaign they are setting up (number of winners, etc).
It is mentioned that all quests will undergo an approval process before they are published on DappRadar. They have provided a guideline to ensure that the quality, safety, and integrity of the quests offered on DappRadar.
As for the fees, there is no specific information recently but it is mentioned in the Whitepaper that any developers can create a quest (I assume it is free), but when they want more advanced features to have a more targeted audience, there is a fee (although it is not specified how much).
Summing Up
Gamifying user experience is one of the most effective ways for projects to build their community. It makes it easier for users to find the applications that interest them and the rewards can also entice them to participate.
Many platforms offer this kind of product (or service) nowadays, providing projects and users alike with more options. It is good to see that DappRadar has stepped into the gamification arena. Portfolio Tracking, DApps, Airdrops, Alerts, Quests, and others - it is now becoming a one-stop shop for almost everything crypto and NFTs.
