The first month of the year is almost over, that's just how fast the days and weeks go by. And with that comes the updating and stuff, as a way to evaluate our progress in the whole month of January.
The year started well but it was a bit slow for me in terms of on-chain activities. I had a holiday hangover in the first weeks and it was challenging for me to get things done. Fortunately, my mind was still sane and it didn't collaborate with what my body wanted (to just be lazy, lol)! There were days when I literally had to drag myself out of bed and do something in front of my computer. And I am thanking threads for making things a little easier on times like that.
Anyway, today's update is not about how much rewards I earned during the month, but how my activities or transactions have contributed to the database.
Interaction/Engagement [Threads]
It is safe for me to say that I did well in this aspect and there has been an increase in activities week after week, based on the statistics gathered by Dalz, posted via Leo.Stats, providing us with weekly information and graphs of top accounts on INLEO in different categories (i.e. Top LEO Earners, Top LEO Stakers, Top Threaders, etc).
👉January 15 - 22 (Top 3)
My threads count (that included comments to other people's threads) is a little over 700 (that's just my guess, looking at the graph). I was third on the Top Accounts by Threads.
👉January 8-14 (Top 6)
Probably around 370 Threads during the week. While my engagement count increased a bit, other people did better, hence I was 6th based on the chart.
👉January 1-7 (Top 3)
Did a little over 300 threads/comments (maybe 320 or so) during this first week of the year. It surprised me actually, especially that during the first 2 days, we were away from home. Perhaps most people were in holiday mode too.
👉December 2023 (Top 5)
The last update was for the periods December 4-10 and it shows I did some 200+ (probably 250) threads/comments in that week. I had some other side hustles that month but was able to make it in the top threaders, so it's good. At least I didn't fall off the LEO/threads radar, even when I was so caught up (busy) with other stuff, lol!
Contributing to the Database via TM's Initiatives
If you have been on threads, you would have noticed several things with the "onleo" hashtag (i.e. musiconleo, newsonleo). Such were TaskMaster's initiatives. The idea is to fast-track the addition of more data to the blockchain or build some database and also bring some more views and clicks which is good for the ecosystem (more views and clicks, more LeoAd revenues and other benefits follow).
Other people hopped in and started their own tags getting inspiration from these two (there's the booksonleo by Ahmadmanga, jokesonleo by steemflow, factsonleo).
Being challenged on what stuff I could start myself, I decided to contribute to what was already being built. And so began my daily adventure of adding data to the newsonleo, musiconleo, and even the playlist. I am often challenged with what to thread about and these topics got that covered for me.
And I could say that has so far helped boost my onchain activity count and also increased my page views. Learned that today through SimpleAnalytics.

With these, I am inviting you to join us in this endeavor, and let's make this space thrive with data while we add more to our block prints in the process. If you are interested, here's how it is done:
↪️For musiconleo
Just copy the embed code on YouTube and paste it on threads, put the artist name and the song title (i.e. Taylor Swift - Afterglow then add the hashtag musiconleo.
↪️For newsonleo
You can quote copy the headlines from news sources about different topics (finance, crypto, events, etc) or you can re-word the headlines yourself and then add the hashtag newsonleo plus another related tag.
↪️For playlist
Please check out "Making A Playlist on Leo" by Taskmaster. We have a goal to create at least 150 playlists in February and anyone is welcome to join us. I found it fun to do it in between my activities.
Summing Up
That's how my on-chain adventure this month so far. Not too shabby but can be improved. I hope to keep them or do even better next month. With that, there's the plan to go back to sharing my long-form content on X and will do the same on Reddit, in the hope of contributing to traffic to the platform.
This once again, is my contribution to the January Posting Spree on INLEO. Took this approach for the day's topic: "your January progress." I invite you to share yours as well, in whatever approach you prefer.
