Whoa, it's Friday! Where did the week go?
Meanwhile, good things are happening on-chain and I think they are worth mentioning for those who may have been out of the loop.
1️⃣ LeoAds First Distribution
I guess by now, most of us have already known or heard about the LeoAds Protocol by INLEO which aims to distribute a portion of the ad revenue to Leo Power holders. If you do not, where the hell have you been?
Joking aside, the first distribution finally rolled out yesterday (18th January) to LEO Stakeholders. It did a test transaction hours before and then bam! It started sending out (staking LEO) to eligible accounts.

After the delay (it was supposed to happen on January 1st), it never occurred to me that it was going to come out as a surprise, but it did. It's a great one to wake up to. I got mine on both accounts and I'm just glad to have kept building them, albeit slowly.
Perhaps as more people use the INLEO interface, more revenue will be generated which of course translates to more LEO getting staked to our accounts.

The next distribution per Khal's thread will occur on the 1st of February and will subsequently pay out every 1st of each month. That means Leo Power holders will be receiving their share of the ad revenues in the form of staked LEO once every month.
At least we know when to check our wallets, lol!
This is a great step and hopefully will encourage more to grow and build along with the community.
2️⃣ LeoPremium
Paying 10HBD makes you a Premium user on INLEO which gives you some edge over a regular user apart from the checkmark next to your username.
Perks
Includes getting prioritized in the "For You" feeds; editing threads after you posted them; adding Bold, Italic, and other "Markdown Styling" to your threads; publishing longer threads; bookmark folders & organization; and more theme options.
There are other upcoming features like NFT PFP, Auto-AI Summarize Blog Posts to Threadstorms, Favorites Menu, Pinned Threads, and Advanced User Dashboard. Not sure how soon these will roll out though.
Leo.voter Support
Premium users get increased support in the form of @leo.voter curation (upvotes) for their content (note: they need to be posted through the INLEO front end and meet the minimum content quality standard). From what I read, a dashboard where we will be able to track our earnings is being built.
Benefits to Hive and Leo
While I am only mentioning the perks to a Premium user, there are other benefits that LeoPremium can do for Hive and LEO. At least that's what I understood.
One is building the liquidity of both tokens (HIVE and LEO) off-chain on BSC. How? 100% of the payments from Premium subscriptions are used to buy LEO and HIVE, and permanently added to the bHive-bLEO LP on CubDeFi. That means several things (LEO and HIVE being bought off the market; HIVE and LEO's liquidity will increase as more are locked up in the LP which will consequently facilitate trading activities on PCS. People will be able to trade LEO and HIVE there instead of just doing it onchain or on CEX).
I think being Premium is a win-win. You get added benefits, you help the ecosystem too. The more LeoPremium subscriptions, the better impact it will have for HIVE and LEO in the longer run.
Well, these are just some of the things that can happen but I believe there are more (beyond my understanding at this point).

3️⃣ Keychain 3.0 Beta
The developers of the Keychain app have introduced an upgrade to the application (browser extension) but it's still in Beta and they are calling our attention to test it out, break it and report any bugs or issues.
So what's new to this version?
Dark theme added
Main assets (HIVE, HP, HBD) and HE tokens are now viewable on the wallet's main window/page.
Can drag accounts to rearrange them
There's a menu for Hive DApps, although it's rather disappointing that among the 8 frontends included, INLEO is nowhere in it. Come on @keychain.
The Android and iOS versions of the Keychain 3.0 Beta are still in the works and we can expect them in the next few months.
🔜 Keychain Swap Fees
Note that starting on the 22nd of January, Keychain will charge a 0.75% fee for all swaps processed using the Keychain Swap. They mention it is a way for them to generate revenue so they don't rely too much on the DHF.
Check this post for further details and information.
Summing Up
These 3 are what I learned today so I decided to share them purposely with those who may have missed them because I know based on experience that no matter how much time we spend here, chances are we still miss things.
By the way, if you are writing good content and yet struggling to get support (curation), I would recommend checking out the LeoPremium, it might help.
